The 25th Anniversary G.I. Joe toy line have released these figure sets called DVD Battles. There are 5 sets, and they have been on clearance in every wal-mart here for $15 each, but i can't find sets 4 & 5. If anyone here can help me track them down, i'd be much appreciated. i've tried ebay, but joe flippers are just as bad as kaiju flippers...

man, I've been contemplating collecting these, just because I love that mini-series and I want the parts the toys of the Cobra weapon they made from it, but I've been too afraid because I know it will be a nightmare to track them all down.

i know! i collect the single 25th anniversary joes, but those are easy. no strings attached, just buy 1 or 2 that i like when i see them, but once i grabbed set 1 of these at my local wal-mart, i've hit all the wal-marts in like a 50 mile radius searching out the other ones. i mean, what is the point of 1 or 2 pieces of the mass device sitting around? the hardest thing though is going into any target and see all the vehicles, especially that jumbo $100 set of vehicles and figures!

the dvd battles might have to go on the back burner for awhile,
because i'm wanting this thing pretty bad right now:

the podium rules, but the fact that cobra is rocking the black suit just tops everything at the moment....

The fact that the cast the little kid from 30 Rock from the Sun as Cobra Commander just about kills it for me.

The line for that Cobra Leader at SDCC was INSANE!!!
And they were flipped like no other, it was crazy.

crazy lines are the reason i don't do conventions much.
i'll just wait for the hype to die down, and snag it on the bay for 1/3 the price....

damn that Cobra Commander is the hotness.

Too bad CC was an idiot... Now Destro would have had the Joe's defeated in season 1.
