According to the Maxtoy site it's 10" tall. I've gotta make some room for this puppy.

 Re: Nagata Tripus
It does bear an unfortunate similarity to that guy in Bryce's favorite movie.

 Re: Nagata Tripus
Got mine today; probably the best, most elaborate paint job I've ever seen on a production piece. My wife said she'd have thought it was a custom if I wouldn't have told her. And Nefasth - from the pics on the back of the insert it looks like there's a GID version in the works! Can't wait.

Holy cats! Sanjeev, where did that pic come from? Please tell me it wasn't a one-off.

KJB wrote: Sanjeev, where did that pic come from? My camera. Or...Mark's cabinet at the top of the stairs. And as to whether it's a one-off...well, yes and no. It's unique in that it's a hand-painted master he did for the factories. They'll be patterning the general release on that! He told me that the factory first standard (non-glowie) release is even better than his own hand-painted master for that one. Hell, I'd be happy as a pig in shit if the factory release of the glowie is "only" as good as this master!

Thankee! Yeah, y'know...if we weren't so busy that day, I would probably've had the presence of mind to take and actual *glow* shot of the fucker! Eh well...

 Re: Nagata Tripus
I just went to order a Tripus, when I realized, OH SHIT, no head articulation. So now I'm hesitant.
I'll be more likely to go for the glowie. Looks spectacular.

REdYOdA wrote: Your going to find yourself quite limited in kaiju/toys in general if head articulation is a selling point. Well I mean, it could stand to have a turning head. Even if it was a little limited because of those sweet face tentacles. I already own a few Kaiju that don't, but a bunch of those don't really have definitive heads, like Max Toy Co's Eyezon. I still very well may buy a Tripus, this just made me think more about it before doing so! And that's a good thing considering my budget.

 Re: Nagata Tripus
nice write up. your shots look great. the only reason i let go of the first, is i told myself i would only get one of these, and after seeing the pic on the back of the header, and then your photos, i told myself that the gid is the ONE!

Congrats on the glowie Sanjeev! I too really enjoyed your writeup & great pics! You're absolutely dead-on in your description of this great toy...and you can't beat the price for what your getting! I hope to score the glow soon...

Is the glowie getting a real release or was it some super limited/ one-off/ in your dreams version?

Damn.
The GID is so nice. He would look right at home on my rainbow / crazy-colored toy shelf.
I was interested in it when that picture first surfaced, but now I really, really want one.

 Re: Nagata Tripus
It must be getting a general release- I cant imagine Chinese factories run like the Japanese ones, In the fact that youd be able to just make a very small number of GIDs-
There must be a G.I.D colourway on zee way, the only question is will it have those badass colours?
I want this, are their details in the review? I have been scanning through it but have been too busy to read it through properly.
Need to know!

I email Mark and he said that it'll be a webshop release in about a month or so. Noice...
