 Re: Pushead N.Y.C.C.?
Nice pick ups all around. The one time he actually comes to NYC, I had to be outta town! At least managed to grab the production pirate release.
Very nice. When I first saw pix of it, my first thought was, oh no...we already have a blood pirate...even if its clear red...but I love the bright solid red on the face!

 Re: Pushead N.Y.C.C.?
I got one too, mine is still in NY and I guess my friend will ship it to me at some point.
Me: Awesome, thanks... I guess I can just stuff this in my bag?
Pus: Not if you don't check it in, just drink it on the way to the airport!

not sure who you spoke to, but there's no pirates for sale...they were only for the event.

Congrats to everyone who was able to pick up the booty sacks or HP's. Sutfin and Pus definitely brought some heat to NYCC.

 Re: Pushead N.Y.C.C.?
So there were 11 bags and 5 HPs at NYCC? I don't chase any of this stuff but just curious how the numbers compare. So it seems like he averages about 16 special figures per event, yes?

I'm guessing he didnt expect this many people to show up wanting. SDCC is a way bigger show so I suppose he just goes buy what he feels will be the right amount for the event. Also I was hoping that each person would be able to only get 1 HP. Like if you got a booty sack you couldn't get a single HP. If this would have been the case alot more people would have been able to get a HP figure. The first 11 grabbed a booty sack with 7 of them grabbing a HP as well. I just hope when NYCC comes around he will be back

 Re: Pushead N.Y.C.C.?
I believe he means the same set up as SDCC. 1 HP per artist/per person. So each person could get a Sutfin HP and a HP Captain or Booty Sack and any of the non HP releases like the Pirate, etc.

 Re: Pushead N.Y.C.C.?
Wow, I didn't realize it went this way in NY. I thought it was only one hp item or booty sack per person... At least that is what I was lead to believe. How is it justifiably fair for one person to get both, the booty sack and HPs when there are so few to go around and their are already special HSPs or HPs contained in the booty sacks... Makes no sense.

 Re: Pushead N.Y.C.C.?
Jon & Pus are awesome, and I would hate to see all of this complaining & bitching keep them from wanting to continue to do events like this. They do an amazing job, and can't always predict the size of a crowd, or the demand of something. That this is my 3rd Pushead event and I agree that it was the most disorganized, but I don't blame them at all. I think that is due to the venue, and space constraints, not due to their planning, which they obviously thought out.
I've never seen anyone try so hard to look out for fans and make sure things get to the people who love them. I hate to see this negativity about it. I know people get upset when they don't get what they want, but there will be other opportunities, and I really think this discussion has gotten to the point that its a little bit disrespectful to the people who organized it.
I think they did a good job with things, and probably had no idea what to expect in New York (remember, this was the first time out to this event with toys). I want to stop the whining and commend Jon & Pus.
In Short-Don't be a cry baby-there is always next time.
Missy, (Who didn't get a Booty Bag or Hand Paint either, but had an awesome time anyway)

This should go as the first post in the FAQ section: missy wrote: Don't be a cry baby-there is always next time.

Missy, (Who didn't get a Booty Bag or Hand Paint either, but had an awesome time anyway) Couldn't agree more. Jon and Pus really try hard to make sure the fans are happy. I went to the first Pus event at SDCC a few years ago and didn't score a HP. Took time off from work, flew down to San Diego, waited in line, etc. But I did get to meet Pus for the first time and that was enough for me. The bottom line is that there is not enough supply for all the demand. Like Missy said, there will always be a next time. Go to the events, hang out and meet your fellow skullbrainers, have a coke and smile and don't forget to have a good time.

One other thing....let's see some pictures of the HPs. IMO, the HPs keep getting better and better.

Seems like each year he brings some new technique that blows me away. This year it's the clear purple, painted inside Pirates. Cannot wait to see what he brings to SD this year.
