Those are a couple of groovy colored troopers. I only have seen a dull grey one.

Cool. Thanks!

------------------------
Atragon
Kaitei Gunkan
(1963) NR
In director Ishirô Honda's sci-fi classic, the evil undersea empire Mu -- once a continent that ruled the planet -- threatens to destroy the world, and it's up to Capt. Hachiro Jinguji (Jun Tazaki) and his supersub, the Atragon, to save the day. It seems the Mu kingdom is bent on reconquering Earth, but Jinguji is reluctant to use the Atragon against the aquatic invaders … until they kidnap his daughter (Yôko Fujiyama).

Those are very cool. There's some serious deep sea creep factor going on there. Would love a clear, murky green one.

I agree - would be much cooler as Standard Size figs. I'm pretty much all about Standard Size now - no more minis (except Galtan and Beetlar)!

Love the cyberpunk version, definitely would like to have one of these. I love having counterbalance in my collection. Human/humanoids always balance out (or tame) the monsters.

Hey, Jonee!

I can't read Japanese--does that mean they're actually releasing these unpainted figs...or are they just the unpainted base figures for the recently-announced colorways? I'd love an unpainted translucent green one...

Why no love for the standard size.
The problem with releasing both of these is that its so hard to decide which is better.

i agree, it's hard to choose.
although i'm leaning towards the cyberpunk version.
looks like that one might be painted on the translucent green vinyl.

yes, they are both beautiful.

unfortunately, I don't collect Standard size figures (yet)

I was hoping that toygraph would add more characters to the Space Troopers Universe. Having some weird looking aliens in the same scale would be cool....

Not that I can read it either ( - Google Translate is my friend! ). I had found the unpainted pic on the Toygraph blog site, not much else in the way of specifics to translate but it seems to imply that the colorways were undetermined in early Feb. The green colorway looks like solid green vinyl - imho, it would be a shame to put that much paint on a translucent, hopefully clear green will be available as well.

p.s. And a very nice review on your Aoshima Atragon on CDX, love the way you posed my glowie Manda with the sub. I'd love to round up the $250 to order that gorgeous mecha die-cast ... but can't seem to pull the trigger with more layoffs pending.

Mini's are cool, Kirkland, but the joy of ST is a wonderful thing, man! Take the plunge!

Jonee, glad you dug my Atragon review! Yeah, the LEDs combined with your glow Manda made for some awesome shots, huh? And just so y'all know, there may just be a few of those Atragons on Y!J right now for between 12 and 13k. With those prices, you should be able to score one from your "agent", shipped to the States, for under $200. Not bad for a diecast football!
