 Louie Cordero's "Lead Brother" busts
I am happy for my friend Louie who recently was featured in the new issue a very prominent mag in the US. Louie is currently working on a project, and man, these look promising....

Reminds me of many recent China artists sculptures. Love the paintings in the back.

Re: Louie Cordero's "Lead Brother" busts
Those paintings were sold to Osage Gallery, incidentally.
Those busts are in Louie's studio.

Re: Louie Cordero's "Lead Brother" busts
Thanks for the links! His horror stuff reminds me of Suehiro Maruo while his psychedelic stuff reminds me of Keiichi Tanaami and neither in a bad way. I really like his ink work here: http://www.jonathanlevinegallery.com/?method=Artist.ArtistDetail&ArtistID=1B916A05-115B-5562-AA169FCE53827CA6&GalleryID=82C33C59-3048-28EB-92DB386C8C733405

I haven't received ay info on the pricing yet, but i can always ask.
He will be in Hong Kong in Osage in a few weeks for those interested. He will open a new show with paintings and a monster around 7 to 8 feet tall MADE FROM CHEWED BUBBLEGUM!

Then it also works as "performance art" right!!?!? I've always wanted to set up an "ant farm" inside a giant piece of clear vinyl. I just haven't come across anything large enough that was affordable.

Sooo true and here I was just bummed that I'd have to drill a bunch of holes in a big piece of vinyl for air!

Re: Louie Cordero's "Lead Brother" busts
Mind-bending. I'm assuming he put a nice thick coating of lacquer over it?
