 Wii, late to the game
I have a dlp tv and am wondering if connecting a wii might cause burn in or some other problem?

 Re: Wii tv problems?
Hasn't happened on my friends TV, and he plays at least an hour everyday.

 Re: Wii tv problems?
It's my understanding that DLP televisons aren't really susceptible to image burn-in.
According to DLP.com, "DLP® HDTV does not use materials, such as phosphors or tubes, that can retain burned-in images on your screen. Instead, DLP® HDTV uses millions of tiny, microscopic mirrors to reflect light digitally onto the screen, producing stunning pictures with no burn-in."
I'd still avoid leaving static images on the screen for too long. Try to remember to turn it off when you aren't using it to conserve the life of the lamp inside. The lamps will burn out and will probably cost a couple hundred bucks to replace.
Have fun with your Wii.

 Re: Wii tv problems?
I don't think so, I've been out of the loop with video games in general for quite a few years and the last thing I remember hearing about some years back was some of these new types of tv's were not good to play games on because they get the burn or damaged somehow. now who has some good game recommendations

Re: Wii, late to the game
I'm playing Death Jr. lately, it as a multiplayer mode - so it's like a cute couple game.. It caused me what I figured out is a Wii elbow, quite painfull actually.
Zelda and Fit are mandatory. Mario Kart let you breed if you have kids.

It's fun but not extremely challenging. Raving Rabids is a fun game for adults and kids. Yeah, I guess when you get down to it, it's all about the kids with the Wii in my house.
