Yes, still huge in a 'pop-art' sorta way. Some of his drawings are everywhere, licensed for boxer-shorts, socks, you name it. There's countless merchandise around the local 'souvenir' shops.

Asterix is allright I suppose...!
I went to a TinTin shop in London last year, it was great but pretty expensive. I was able to score a bunch of sale stuff.

It's been a while since I posted anything, so here it is. It's a drawing I did for Buster Call for his New Years card. It's pretty normal in Japan to send out a card to all your friends and family, wishing them a happy new year and that they have a great upcoming year.

4x4 canvas ...spray paint with print gocco image...for an upcoming art show in Pittsburgh

Jeff, how are these images replicated on each canvas? Is each drawn, or what?

sorry I missed this when you first asked, but yes a print gocco screen. I pushed the canvas block down from above, the screen stuck to it so I flipper it over and burnished the back with a big soup spoon. These were featured on omgposters.com and they sold out in a few hours. Took me by surprise.

Heres a new drawing, basically just more of the same type of characters I've been drawing for the last 6 months or so. This is the slapped together rough line art. I'm totally revamping my webpage and hope this works out for the homepage image.

thanks man, I appreciate that. I'm probably gonna change the sky to look more like clouds, add at least one flying monster and try to squeak as much as I can out of making it a 2 color silkscreen print.

full color version for my revamped website, not completely finished yet..screenprint will probably be orange and black on white paper with halftone shading. The monsters are Toho based, bootleg Ghidrah looking dude. I always liked the oddness of the bootleg figures...like who really was fooled into thinking "hey thats not a rip of Ghidrah". Like bootleg Frankie Goes To Hollywood shirts from the 80's..."Freddie Say Wham"

hmmm..I think it might work out on this format

http://www.mysoti.com/mysoti/designer/G ... oducts/all

I can upload the image later today...some of the subtle color fades get lost in their printing method...

Thanks for the interest! This is gonna be the new image for my revamped webpage...I'm supposed to be doing the text right now...
