what are the different version available ?

I got a couple of them thanks to Flankengott and noticed there was a couple of lucky bad version. So basically, what are the ones I don't have ???

Hmm, there are around 15 Ankorons so far. The original orange is one of my favorites. The Ultraman one is also fun. There were several versions in the 2008 lucky bags, including some released in runs of 4 or 5 figures, as well as some one-offs.

Anyone got a list of the unpainted Ankorons on hand?
1) Jade
2) Orange
3) Silver
4) Gray GID
5) Pink Clear?
6) Pink
7) Blue
8 ) Dark Green
9) Black?

including one-offs I think there are more than 30 differnt ones released so far....but Andy will have more exact figures I think....

I asked Andy about the unpaints and even he does not follow those Oh well... the search goes on!

I like Ankoron but only have 7 or 8 versions, and all but one are painted.

I think you've got most of the unpainteds covered in that list.

The 08 lucky bags had jade, pink (not trans) and bright green (or was that just Nougaki?) base vinyl colors with at least 1 painted and a non painted version of each, as memory serves. I would assume there is a no paint black since I have seen several painted versions on black vinyl. I think I have seen a navy blue also.

The '08 LB bright greens were Nougakis. Bright pink painted was Ankoron, but it was painted. I don't recall seeing an unpainted bright pink. I've never seen an unpainted black for sale, but that would be cool.

BTW the unpainted grey GID was one of the Max Toy collab releases. The 2 painted greys in my pic are Nagata one-offs.

I've got the unpainted list up to 9 thanks to maxomaltan.

Would love to see pics, as there are a few on the list I've never seen.

Andy, is the black one front/left with the maroon belly/silver eyes a LB Ank? I love that one, it's definitely on my want list.

Sorry Ryan, I'm drawing a blank on the release info for that one. I don't think it's from the LBs though (I went through some pics and didn't see it there) - it's probably from a bit later in 2008.

so weird cause' I like a lot of the same stuff as the people in this thread do but I just don't get it with these...

I guess there are a couple of reasons why people like them....like

...they are cute AND dangerous (look at these massive teeeeeeeeeth)
...they are painted by Naoki
...they are weird/strange looking (middle eye)
...they have a tail !
...they look like a mix of frog/hippo/saurian
...they are reasonable priced (even if they are a one-off or a run less than 3-5)
...they give you a difference to the "fight"-figs by Cronic and so make variety in your cronic-shelf
...they are sitting toys and animate you to also sit down and chill
...they dont need a lot of sleep and food
...they speak 7 different languages

...!!!

One thing was I thought these were little minis, I saw them in TT and they are BEEFY! One of the other things I like about it is the sculpt is sick and the doll eyes and gems really put it over the top for me and def. stands out on my shelf. Honestly I don't really like any of the other Cronic fight figures or minis, but the dude can sculpt and has a great design sense.

I've totally come around to the Ankoron since it was released...the clear pink versions TT did helped a bunch...but at first I HATED it. It was such a huge departure in my opinion, but now it's def. part of the Cronic family. I actualy prefer the minis tenfold over the fight figures...Nougakis and Doromes are my focus, but the handful of Anks I have are great.

Was there a clear pink unpainted Lorne? Sorry if Im being OCD about this... but its like the lightbulb just went on for me.

there was an unpainted clear pink. TT did a painted and unpainted of each Cronic character for sdcc...and two different nougakis.

thought ankorons would be a take on NOSTALGIC HEROS Baby Booska???


...just got my first ankoron today - expected them to be smaller, but very very nice fig, very pleased with it.
