I love Anraku but no way, no how would I ever pay those prices. If I had the money, yeah, for a vintage piece but not for new vinyl.

I completely understand and get that anraku is extremely hard to come by, especially in japan, but wow....So what's up with the shops all going the flip route lately?

This "store" already had these up on Ebay a few weeks back at the same outrageous prices. I didn't follow the outcome but apparently no one took the plunge.

They get confused on prices OFTEN it seems. Now if they sold for those prices it'd be one thing, but I hope most have enough sense. What someone ASKS is totally different than what something's WORTH or goes for at least.

the prices are especially high given the pieces they are attached to. I was offered the same Dako less than a year ago for $200...maybe less...so wtf?

I think those prices would be crazy even for more sought after sculpts.

and now they try to sell these for 5x what they should be, somebody is confused

Whatever, I nabbed a Dempagon 1.9 from this place for under $50 today so they can let these dudes collect dust at those prices for however long they want.

That store is a total potshot when it comes to prices, but that's why I usually only buy stuff when they have it for cheap!

Usually, if you compare item-for-item, they are. Remember, not everything goes on the web-store and most of the stuff that does is aimed at the foreign market and is priced accordingly. Usually anything priced well at the store moves quickly, so some of the stock that sits around for a while is just marked at ridiculous prices (think RxH stuff priced at the peak of flipper hysteria right after release sitting there for 6 months with the same price tag... ain't going anywhere), so I think sometimes that stuff finds its way to the web store at a lower price.

With the sheer volume and variety of merchandise they go through on a daily basis there are bound to be some... well, anomalous prices. The ones for these Anraku figures are just silly, though.
