Yeah, he first listed it, got bids (including mine), then cancelled the auction because someone told him how much the last one on ebay sold for. Then he listed it with a minimum bid of $699, and got one bid for that amount the day before the second auction closed. That is just too high for this toy. He is lucky someone actually went for it.

Anyone here want to admit anything???

I think he might of meant he was the "other guy" on the grassy knoll.
My search isn't over though!

I should have paid the $699! Well, that is one less Super 7 subscriber Zag that will be returning to Japan. Almost there now.

I figured it would go for big $ - there are only 15 of them and I've never seen one come up for auction before but I have seen 3 to 4 of the subscriber Zags come up on YJA and ebay over the past 2 years or so.

For that reason, I almost expected the hedo would go for more than the zag - lots of pent-up demand, dont'cha know.

If anybody wants to trade the subscriber Zag for the subscriber hedo (plus whatever else I need to throw in to sweeten the pot), let me know.

Really? We're talking about the subscriber hedo set right? Not only does it look damn cool, but is also rare as hell. Is the hedo set more common than the sub zag? I'm def not trying to create hype as I still need the set myself. In fact I was in the running for awhile on this set. I probably would have gone higher too if I had more toy funds right now, but alas. I was surprised in the end that it didn't go higher. That being said, I am always a little surprised at the price that the zag commands.

I mean I want it as well and im breaking my own rule by even talking about something I want. Its rare but not as rare as the zag. I also think that one of the hedorans sold on YJA just in july or august. Sold for 130 and I honestly forgot to bid. So for it to jump from that to this, I think its based on the other connected auction and his claim on numbers.

Hmm, I guess I simply missed that auction...130 would be a pretty shocking price IMO...maybe that was just for the mini? I still would have paid that...anyway, congrats to whomever got the set.

I only just missed out :(

I put in what I thought was a high bid for both toys (considering what I paid for the camo one recently) and thought I may be in with a chance.

Well done whoever won them!

SAD BUT TRUE: I bought the sub zag off a board member, but he sent me teh Hawaii by mistake - when I complained he said in typical (for said person) style and with no apology offered "I sent that to someone else, and I have some one else who wants the hawaii so u can send that back if u want" I kept the hawaii, but always regret him screwing up on that sale. My loss was someone else's gain on the board.
