I started collecting be@rbricks back in 2001-2002 when they were still vinyl and before they switched to the ABS hard plastic and ratchet arms which I love. Although I don't collect them much anymore, I still have have a fondness for their design and the graphic qualities on some of them. And, the printing/manufacturing on be@rbricks & kubricks has always been top notch from Medicom. I had the dissected companion but sold it a while ago so I wouldn't mind a dissected Be@rbrick to go with my two original 1000% Kaws Be@rbricks. I don't care what anybody says,
those giant bastards kick ass.

Wonder how the Chinese factory is going to do the clear vinyl head on the 1000%. All the clear Chinese-made vinyl I've seen has looked terrible.

man i hate when somebody photochops something and it looks better than the real one. Now i keep comparing the fake one to the real one. I want a fake one.

the 1000% (and all bearbricks) are ABS not vinyl, so a real clean clear should be no problem.

Yeah, the fake one looks pretty good - that's what I was imagining, but in WOOD, when I first MIS-read the thread title as "KAWS 400% Wood Dissected Bearbrick".
The one that actually got produced looks pretty bad from a KAWS point of view (which is what I expect these days), but acceptable from a Bearbrick point of view.

I would love to own a 400 or 1000 but the prices will be INSANE. Sucks because there are a few Kaws pieces I'd like to track down but they keep getting further and further out of my range.

Don't know if anyone has seen the packaging for these yet but I really like the boxes. I'm hoping I can track down a 400% down, I know 1000% is totally out of my league.

the 1000% looks terrible on the clear part as Meary guessed...it looks like it yellowed !

but on the 400%, it's much better, clean clear plastic, totally cool !

$280 for the 1000% seems like chump change. It's crazy they flip for $1k. Congrats to the people who scored what they wanted. If you don't like your 100% when you get the set PM me please.
