Re: CA Struggles to Close a Projected $41 Billion Deficit welp... 11 teachers were given pink slips today in my school alone (not including 2 fitness teachers and 2 music teachers who also got one). They went so far up the seniority scale that they got 3-year-permenant teachers. they basically eliminated two grades in the school. 63 total permanent and probationary teachers were let go in the district. who knows how many fellow temporary teachers.
seems like my chances of getting rehired anywhere in this district will be impossible.
anyone know what else i could get into, with a degree in liberal arts and almost no job experience outside of a classroom?

Re: CA Struggles to Close a Projected $41 Billion Deficit There are new schools opening up here in North East Texas Lalo. Many from California are moving here. New teachers in Denton county make almost 50k a year.
