The new Mutant Head looks Frankensteinian to me.
Akro eyes, Thunder Lagoon mouth etc. I'd really like to see it in clear or painted clear with innards.

Akro eyes, Thunder Lagoon mouth etc. I'd really like to see it in clear or painted clear with innards. The story is Mutant Head's body is being possessed by Akro Kaiser. Great backstory. The sculpt reminds me a lot of the Vader Glow, very technical, crisp and detailed. More dynamic than MH1, too- the original looked like it wanted to shake hands; this one looks like it's going to strangle someone.

Though not as obvious as this, other RxH figures have small matching elements. Look at the spots on Evil and Mutants heads, than look at Akro's head. Ears. The middle crest on Evil's head is the same as Akro's middle crest. Again, not as big, but the theme runs. So far I like the unpainted more, not into the monochrome rubs or the super-masked one, but I feel this guy has a LOT of fun promise. I wonder if we'll get a happy Evil now?

+1 the backstory really makes it cooler to me. Akro doesn't play around.
I think I'm going try and shoot for the one version that will satisfy and not buy up a million colorways.
"try".
I was just trying to imagine what an Evil/Organ Bat crossover would look like.

fuck. so much for taking it easy. It just gets better and better. I'm going to take a guess: warubone and Oni-head for the third release?

I do really like the new mutant head though. To bad getting a more limited one is all but impossible. I totally understand.. worst of both worlds has me focusing on the older stuff. would really like the new green chaos but I have to realize it will most likely never happen. ps - thx for the info and pics scott. But this was the case pre-S7 time as well isn't it? that the only way to find the elusive figures were via yja. I thought i read not so long ago that those days were missed? Actually, apart from very FEW super limited store-only releases, most of the new releases, you can get them far easier stateside then in japan via the good stores like lulu, GT, roto etc. Most of the new releases are also pretty limited, but i guess it is always more desirable for those that one cannot get. For the super limited store releases, it doesn't help even if u are living in tokyo, most likely you still cannot get them unless you are a super customer or well connected inside. Therefore, i think the average local collector like myself should be even more frustrated, so close yet so far. But that hasn't stop me from continuing my quest on selected RxH sculpts On the sidenote, personally, i couldn't relate to the new mutated MH, hopefully the mutated ME will be a blast.

I guess your right, but back then even the most limited stuff was still up on YJA for a shot. I thought the same would happen, but nothing has popped up what so ever so my impressions of what I thought would happen really didn't happen. If your having these issues and you live close by that really does suck, but at least you can go down and talk to Mori, which is pretty cool and a lot more than most of us can say. I miss the hunt, but not the disappointment and anger, I forgot about that , this reminded me What constitutes as a super collector anyways ? Is it one who spends a lot of money on RxH, one that has been collecting for years, fan art, blog, turned a lot of people onto the brand, what exactly do you have to do to be a "super collector" that will get you some inside help ? I gave up as no matter what I did I was never acknowledged for being a dedicated collector with a lot of love for the brand. O well I guess huh.

 Re: $572.40 shipped...
My issue is that the BEST colorways are the super exclusives not available to most of us. It's fine, and necessary, to have super exclusive figures in this industry. But it's just stupid to make them the very best. The best colorways should be widely available. People will always go crazy for a super-limited figure, even if the colorway is lame - so release the awesome figures in larger batches and make the super-exclusives something less visually desirable. After finding out that the Gold Chaos was limited to in-store or whatever I washed my hands of RxH - there's no way I'm paying after-market prices, and I only want the best colorways, not the mediocre ones available through the network. And now again we see an awesome Chaos, but there's no chance of getting one.

Totally agree, this is by far the best Chaos released in the last 6 months. It has the colors of an early release. I have all the other 4 rubs and this would be a great addition. Old school to the max.

 Re: $572.40 shipped...
Mori is just one man, and from what I see, he's got his hands full. It sucks we Americans can't get the limited in store releases, but at the same time, I understand why him and other Japanese creators don't do international sales. Packaging and shipping EMS is probably very time consuming and a big hassle. It would be cool if he could do some really limited exclusive releases here in the US maybe through s7. Anyway, I've been having fun, buying up this cheap RxH from board members here even if they aren't the rarest. I've got some pieces I've really wanted for a while but couldn't afford when they were going for top dollar and it's really spurred a new found love for RxH. And maybe I'm wrong, but I think these good prices are probably turning other collectors onto RxH too and I think as the love for RxH spreads and it gains new fans, even the standard releases will start to disappear more quickly. Real Head is getting a second wind, that's what I'm thinking.

So... basically, you are saying that if people that have been collecting RxH for awhile don't want the toys they love to become even harder to get, they should stop giving good deals on the toys they sell here? Re: $572.40 shipped...
Ha, true. Double edge sword I'm afraid. Is it a bad thing.? What I'm seeing is new releases that aren't selling out and sitting in stores for months, and this drives prices on the secondary market down. So if more collectors are jumping on RxH because of low prices right now and become hooked will it be so terrible if they start buying the new releases and new releases sell out. I thought one of the things I kept hearing was that collectors missed the chase and the figures selling out, I'm not even saying it would be a crazy chase or you'd have a hard time aquiring pieces. I'm saying if a dozen new collectors discover real head, maybe it will be the right number to help new pieces sell out instead of sitting in stores for months and months and secondary market values stabalize back to normal. melek_taus wrote: So... basically, you are saying that if people that have been collecting RxH for awhile don't want the toys they love to become even harder to get, they should stop giving good deals on the toys they sell here?
