If you were excited and someone gave you something, I would suggest getting it checked out.
Just saying...

At least there's something worth looking at/reading in the RxH forum - can't say that about the SB forum.

My problem is a bit different.
I get excited and desire to own almost all of them. Unfortunately that is not financially possible. And nobody is giving me anything.

It's an addiction. Like any other. I buy it, I become unsatisfied with what I have and I buy more to fill that void. But still I want more and more.

Post Re: a contradiction
I don't think it's necessarily contradictory to admire something or recognize its value to others while not wanting to acquire it for one's self. Besides the economic management that we all have to contend with, it's actually sort of nice to be free from the "I want" impulse sometimes. Especially when you know you've already got the collector bug. :)

Buddha says:

1. Life means suffering.
To live means to suffer, because the human nature is not perfect and neither is the world we live in.

2. The origin of suffering is attachment.
The origin of suffering is attachment to transient things and the ignorance thereof.

3. The cessation of suffering is attainable.
The cessation (ceasing) of suffering can be attained through nirodha. Nirodha means the unmaking of sensual craving and conceptual attachment.

4. The path to the cessation of suffering.
There is a path to the end of suffering - a gradual path of self-improvement, which is described more detailed in the Eightfold Path. Craving, ignorance, delusions, and its effects will disappear gradually, as progress is made on the path.

Yeeeeees. Buddha is wise.

The path to cessation of suffering starts with unburdening yourselves of these transient possessions (toys). Anyone wanna attain nirodha by unburdening themselves of some HP Pushead or OG Real Head? :|
