I also use that as an opportunity to change up the look a bit. The Panda Z is the plastic one. I like that diecast one, but I've not gotten around to getting it yet. The blue shark vehicle is one of the Battle Beast bases. next time you come around to the dusting process, you should start a stop watch and document the time it takes. It usually turns into a month long job as I rarely have time to sit and do it all at once hahah.

Re: updated pics of my stuff
haha. i totally believe it. i once decided to update the bags and boards on my entire comic collection from standard plastic poly to archival mylar. i didn't even get an hour into the transfer process before i started questioning my great idea...
you should look into getting some plexi-glass or something cut to size for the front of them shelfs and drill holes along the edges to bolt them on. it might save on some dusting time...

Your collection is very nice. I like mixing of toy types rather than concentrating mainly on one side of this marvelous industry. And you've got some Devilman, your collection is complete Even though they are not the rarest , I also really like those mini bullmark reproductions :

Nice stuff, but the TOMY Yokai 3 pack is the major standout for me. It's so damn hard to track down.

If I recall correctly they were a Wonderfest limited set. Do you know how many others there are in the series? I really would like to get the rest of those. Any pics would be much appreciated. Let me know if you'd like better pics of the Yokai 3 pack.

Let me know if you'd like better pics of the Yokai 3 pack. There are 6 more Yokai characters from this series of candy toys(not including the 3 pack). There are also 3 Daimajin figures. I would imagine that they are licensed together by whoever handles the licensing for Daiei (since they're out of business). TOMY also released a seperate line of Gamera toys that I bet were also part of that licensing agreement. The 3 pack was released seperately from the others and were bagged together instead of blind boxed. The sculpts of some of the minis is based on the vintage Nitto Yokai figures (Abura Sumashi, Karakassa, Hitotsume Kozou and the blue Oni), the Daimon sculpt appears to be modeled after the M1-Go standard scale figure, and the others are original sculpts. Like most candy toys these are cheap, but they are well made and painted. Some of the best Yokai toys made. The 6 regular candy toys are all in these pics of my collection but are mixed in with some other Yokai figures. The mini Abura in the center, the figure to his left and the mini Daimon on the left side are all TOMY minis. The 2 figures on the left in the front row are TOMY minis(Kappa, and Hitotsume Kozou)and also the Karakassa (broken umbrella cyclops in the middle).

Re: updated pics of my stuff
Beautiful stuff Turtletooth. Thanks for all of the information too. I'll have to hunt down the others. Who made the big old Abura with the cloth raincoat? That's really nice stuff. Who made the other Kappa in the last pic on the right? You might like the candy toys for No Kitaro that were out not long ago. Each eye shaped capsule came with a regular color character and 2 white cast little yokai (you can see these on my shelves too). One of the capsules came with a body that the eye fits on.

I'm always glad to spread the Yokai love. The big Abura is by Nitto from 1980, I believe. The other Kappa is by Bear Model. In fact except for the TOMY minis, the M1-Go Daimons and the 2 Nitto Aburas, all of the other figures are by Bear Model. Some of them come in alternate vinyl colors and sprays, but that's all of the sculpts they produced. I really love the Bear Yokai and wish they would do more. I've seen those Ge ge ge candy toys, they're cool. But I really only collect the Yokai associated with the Daiei films, although there is some overlap of characters. I'm a weirdo that looks at licensing when evaluating toys.

Ahhhh! Everytime I see yokai shots it makes me sad there are not more glowie versions of those sculpts. PlasticXO wrote: Even though they are not the rarest , I also really like those mini bullmark reproductions Me too. Somehow being smaller versions of bigger toys instead of a mini with it's own sculpt they are satisfying in their own special way.
