 Re: Toygraph Space Troopers
Wait--phantomfauna seemed to imply that they're going to be painted. Do we know for sure if these are meant to be unpainted or not?
I don't think they look too bad, but they *definitely* don't go with the rest of the Space Troopers line. They're cool for what they are, but I probably wouldn't spend much on them (~$20-30?).
Also, I can't seem to remember that robot (or any robot) from Gorath, Daniel...but it's been YEARS since I've seen it. It clearly says "Gorath" on that thing's base, though...I'll have to check that one out again...

Looking forward to seeing the sculpt on that one. I'm excited to see Mr. Flynn get in on it.

Hell's bells. I think I'm officially off the Space Troopers, between those Crayola montrosities and Ghostie, here.

 Re: Toygraph Space Troopers
I think if the ghost head can be shot in gid vinyl and sprayed tastefully enough, it can go well with the others.
The main reason I'm into these things is that they remind me a lot of the Colorforms Outer Space Men. The more diverse their heads get without violating that simple aesthetic, the better!

 Re: Toygraph Space Troopers
really like the multiple ghost heads...not feeling the main face though...seems a little too halloweeny for these.
final call can't be made until the sculpt hits. either way it should look interesting.

 Re: Toygraph Space Troopers
I kind of like these actually. The whole space trooper line (from the beginning till now) has always seems like one big 70's homage. Despite the price tag, this line seemed like it was designed and developed to resemble cheap nostalgic toys. That may not be the actual intent but I always kind of saw these troopers to be reminiscent of that. With that in mind...I think these definitely fit line with all the other ones. I guess I haven't really ever thought of the troopers as "kickass" evil space guys. I just always saw them cheap retro 70's toys.

The idea is that the helmet got blown off, and he was exposed to toxic gasses and wayward spirits from another world, who have taken over his body and are all fighting their way out.

I really like this design. I just hope it is not too topheavy. Good concept. When is it projected to come out?

Yeah, that's actually a pretty bitchin' story. Brian, will the first releases have glowie heads (and hopefully clear bodies)? I like consistency!
