Post Celga/ auction bidding service problems
So today I asked celga why I never got a invoice for winning that emupaiya ecchi gid h monster. Well celga now is claiming that I was second in line and the bid ended at the first bidders amount instead of my higher amount. This normally would not be a problem till you hear what I say next:

I specifically asked them before sending a deposit if I was the first to bid on the item (I would not send them money until they confirmed this). I was told "I'm the first and only one, please send the deposit now." Which basically says to me GREEN F***IN light, we're sticking with you! Guess not. I'm writing the longest tirade in history to them right now, telling them what a joke their service has become and will never use them again. Close my account.

Damn. Sorry to hear that.
Seems Celga's service has been pretty weak lately. I haven't been happy since they "improved" the service.

I just hope they can get shipping the only item I have with them right when it arrives. Usually they mess that up by sending me the wrong tracking number, or have it sits for weeks as unpaid in the warehouse after I already paid for it.

Yeah. Save 1 dollar for 25 days and buy yourself a celga gold account. I've never had one issue.

Out of curiosity how far in advance did you send the deposit? Because they do state something in their faq section that another celga bidder can outbid you.

No gold for me. I'm ending the relationship. They offered gold to me for free for a year but I'm not taking them up on it. I'm that agitated. At this point I'd rather save cash and just take a trip to Japan myself for toy shopping.

That is true, but not if they tell you that you're the only bidder. Someone with celga gold could outbid me but in this case it ended with celga winning the auction. I thought for me. I sent the deposit 3 days before it ended.

i don't understand why you're so upset.

You sent in the deposit three days before the auction ended. At that time you were the only bidder.

Did you really think you were not going to get outbid even at the last moment by anyone else, including another Celga member?

I think in the faq section celga says that if you are bidding..send in your maximum bid and make a deposit. (Which you did.) If someone else using celga's services (bidder B) places a higher bid then they won't honor it. UNLESS..a bid is raised by an independent 3rd bidder (bidder c) or even someone with celga gold. If that happens than your bid is gone and they will take the Bidder B's max if it happens to be higher then (bidder C).

I bid 6000 yen the auction ended at 5000 yen with celga winning supposedly for me. To be told later someone with a lower bid than you won, when you were told you were the only bidder and please send deposit. Clear enough for you?

Guys you're really not getting this. NO ONE OUTBID ME. The took my deposit said I was the only bidder. The bid ended 1000 less than my high bid yet somehow I'm still the loser. I specifically asked if I was the only bidder and was told I was. There is no counter argument to the mess, They fucked up not me.

Celga has its problems.

But, now you will never have to deal with them again. Aren't you on vacation from toys now anyway?

Post Re: I f@***ng hate CELGA!
Okay..so you are saying that someone answered you're email...said you were the only bidder..without checking to actually see if some other celga user actually bid? That makes a little bit more sense then you're first post. Your first one was a little vague in terms of details.

Anyway...clearly they screwed up.

Yeah I'd be upset. If I had a history of problems with celga I'd avoid them as well.

For me I use celga gold and am in control of how much or how little I bid. I haven't had a problem.

Damn that does suck. I have gold and have never ever had a problem. A little confusion here and there, but never anything that didnt get sorted out quick.

At least they offered a free year of gold service, thats not a bad little offer. Shit I'm about to complain to see if I get that deal ! :)

yeah that break seems short lived....I must be a lifer. stopped for a month but then the new detolf has started the urge again. damn this hobby.

yeah celga gold is great I'm sure but I had my own method of bidding which worked for me. I liked only paying half upfront and paying the rest later. I just knew to bid really high against all you mofos with gold. :P Actually I don't think I've ever gone up against a skullbrainer that i know of....

sorry if I seem short today I had a frigging horrible day at work and got in to a bitchfest with my manager. She tried to write me up for something I wasn't trained on and the union struck her write up down in a conference room. I won but it was like pulling teeth....

whoa....interesting coincidence.
I had my boss come down on me today too, and the union stewards had her in a closed conference room today. i was doing what she told me to do 2 months ago, and now i'm catching flack for it. wtf? i f@#king hate micro-management!!
i try to stay positive, because i know lot's of people don't have jobs, and the economy sucks. i am trying real hard to just forgive and forget. life's too short, ya know? i guess i'm just glad to be employed.

You should have celebrated St. Patty's day the IRISH way: get drunk and show your green in the morning! I'm almost sorry I passed on it this year. It would have made you at least forget this Celga incident.

I know you are angry now, but you are not going to stop wanting these toys, and YJA is a great source. Take the free Gold account.

Sorry to hear you lost the auction. It makes me wonder if Celga provides a level of service for non-gold customers vs. a better level of service for gold customers. Not to disrespect the gold members out there, but after a few transactions with them, and not choosing the gold membership, they became curt and obtaining refunds was difficult (on unsuccessful auctions). I've switched to TokyoBuyers and have been very happy with them. I still appreciate the fact that they don't demand an instant 1/2 deposit of your maximum bid upfront. They might be a little more expensive, but I'm willing to pay for it if the service is good and they treat you with courtesy.

P.S. TokyoBuyers seems to acknowledge a change in exchange rate, fairly quickly. I noticed on their web page that they posted $1=96 yen as of Mar. 6 :P

I'm with Mr.H ^^^^
Real sorry to hear about the problems. Give TokyoBuyers a try next time...they are professional, have great communication, and I haven't lost an auction yet (knocking on wood) with them.

I had my first hiccup from Celga in the last week as well. I submitted bid requests for 4 items, and one of them they flat out neglected to bid on. It was a bummer because the item ended super cheap... but luckily it wasn't anything too rare or a big want on my part.

I have to ask though, as I have noticed it in your Flickr shots before; Don't you already have the green spray GID Emupaiya Ecchi? I assume that is the auction you mean. Not that this justifies Celga sucking it up so hardcore, but did you want 2 or something?

That sucks. I'm starting to get pissed with them too after a few problems lately, but would lose out on toys if I didn't use them!

I've just spent a week having an email argument with celga staff after they sent me a shipping invoice with the oldest item in stock missing from it. I emailed to check I would still receive it even though not listed - at first they had no record of it, then said they had it but I'd have to pay to have it shipped in another box, then almost a week later they said they think it must be in the box, but just not listed on my invoice, as they don't seem to be able to find it now!!! It's their policy when a box is sealed that they don't open it to add items but they could at least check to see if what I've paid for is in there.

It had better be in the box when it arrives

I had no problems in the beginning but seem to be having a few now, and I'm not alone...
