 ICFSB - updated with photo...
my picture for the show... guess I fall under the "closeups of cute toys" category... This is the first one done, as well as my first attempt at ruining fine sofubi...please let me know what you think... Stupid camera autofocused on kitty instead of toy, but the picture is kind of funny...

Re: ICFSB - 1st finished project
Not sure that I dig the sparkly eye... but overall the paint/squiggles are awesome. I like that the line is (almost?) continuous as it covers the sculpt.

Re: ICFSB - 1st finished project
The eye...has been an issue...it may have to be re-evaluated...
The squiggly line is not totally continuous, but close...

Wow. Took me a minute to recognize the original sculpt. You really throw a lot of weight and gravity into it; seriously good work, but I agree about the eye. Also, the kitty is excellent prop!

Re: ICFSB - 1st finished project
looks really really good to me. 'B A K U' on the knuckles, nice touch. I like seeing departures from the norm and this is waay out of the norm. also like the realistic bone toenails and chestplate.
great job.

Re: ICFSB - 1st finished project
Usually stuff like this doesn't do it for me, but I love this custom. To me it almost feels like a really well painted model kit instead of a sofubi. Really gives Baku a new life and shows off all his details amazingly. The squiggly line is great and works really well with Cronic as it sort of references the pin striping they are known for. I do think the eye is too much however.
You should tell your cat to shut up and stop being such a tough critic even if it "do not want".

Re: ICFSB - 1st finished project
The eye is going to get poked out and replaced with a better one.
I did discover one thing that I wasn't aware of prior to working on this toy---I think Bakurasu is a "she"...or has manboobs...I'd be interested to know if Cronic has a gender attached in mind for this particular sculpt.
Kitty could care less about toys, but she loves her some plastic wrapper!
Thanks for all your comments!

 Re: ICFSB - Additions
The skeleton ghost is so awesome!!! The little skulls look great btw...very nice sculpting! I can only imagine how difficult it must have been getting those skulls in place and aligned!
