 Re: FABULOUS DEATH METAL CD
I love how most death metal logo are unreadable, unless you know what you are looking for. It's like breaking a topsecret code sometimes.

 Re: FABULOUS DEATH METAL CD
Not too much of a death metal-head usually, but this is indeed an epic album.

bottled wrote: for any death metal fans out there... oceano "depths" ...amazing! .jpg) I've only heard one or two songs on Sirius, but I do like them. Normally I think I'd find them a little too "core" for me, but for some reason I like them and I wanted to check out this full length. I don't think that's nearly that unreadable of a logo either. It should be much more complex and garbled.

Typical French Canadian Deathcore ? How come, they're even not from here ..! I thougth that we'd got rid of those Checkout Les Ékorchés, they play accoustic deathcore, using a electric cello. Fun.

 Re: FABULOUS DEATH METAL CD
It's a solid, well produced album from start to finish. They are one of the best new acts that I've heard in a while. Another great album that I've been listening to quite a bit is GOJIRA's "The Way Of All Flesh".

Fun. well the exact quote was "oceano sound like a number of French-Canadian deathcore outfits mixed with the new-jack metal bands that sound like they have no knowledge extreme music beyond 21st century Morbid Angel, and will gladly claim you as an influence if you add them as a myspace friend and utilize breakdowns" sorry gojira's Way of all Flesh is fucking brutal

I pretty much like or not. I don't think that every act needs to break the mold of a genre, but just do it well. I wouldn't even say that their sound is like Morbid Angel anyway (except for a little drumming action here and there & parts of song 1 on the disc), I'm thinking their influences were more in line with bands like Katatonia, Fear Factory, Suffocation, and General Surgery.

 Re: FABULOUS DEATH METAL CD
I gave this cd a listen. Its pretty good. The band has a good feel to it. I like when the singer goes from Death metal voice to Black metal voice. Good Stuff.

I've had KYLESA's "Time Will Fuse Its Worth" album and like it and just picked up their new album last night. It's a great listen from first listen.

Oh and "+1" or whatever on what everyone has said about Kylesa, though I only own the split w/Cream Abdul Babar and have yet to check out the new album...

Kylesa and Gojira are both good but not death metal.
