SAMBA wrote: Do we have any maths genius's on the board that could take out the shill bid and come up woth a rough estimate of the price the Maza could have sold for without the Shill bids? $400? $300? Definitely not a math genius, but it looks like about $390 for the Maza and $290 for the Drunk Boy. Of course this assumes that there wouldn't have been any snipers - there may have been at those prices (or not), but the shill bidding killed all reasonable snipers.

Re: Fucking Shill Bidding Piece of Crap
If this was shill bidding, then don't you think d***u( 181) would have bid on the third auction the seller had too? But he didn't. AT ALL. Is it so impossible to think that someone just wanted both of those toys and was willing to spend high to get them? It's possible that a shill bid was involved, but to fly off the handle as though it's a certifiable fact is irresponsible. Sounds like sour grapes to me. You lost, move on.

I didn't bid on either of these items but we all knew the Maza and DB would go pretty high. The Golden Boy Boogie, although sought after, doesn't have the same type of hype those other figures do . Also, maybe there was 20 or 30 people watching the Maza and DB and maybe only a few watching the Boogie. The seller knew they had a better chance at getting more. I wouldn't really say he flew off the handle, just bummed out and expressing his aggression. I fully agree that it was shill bidding. If someone really wants a figure like that, in the last few seconds they're going to say max I'm going to spend is $XXX and not up the auction but like $10-20 each bid, especially with items like those and that type of money.

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe d***u (181) is just a DB. I'm already over it.

Re: Fucking Shill Bidding Piece of Crap
This makes a good case for auction sniping.
