phased to be on this board, seems like a great crowd of people and a ton of great info. 'darth hank' finally talked me onto the board even though i lurked for a while.

punk, hardcore, bjork and portishead are things i love. along with prints, toys (godzilla anything, pushead, kaws, vintage monster stuff), skatedecks, records, along with tator tots and grilled cheese's and BASEBALL!

girls that wear flip flops, flippers (including the dolphins) and melted ice cream are things i dont like.

dark hank and i have a band called the bob sagets and we wear kiss costumes when we perform, its a cross between the mc5 and hall and oates. get pumped.

I'm Aaron. I'm 23 and I can't grow a beard. Having a French mother, I can only grow a pervert mustache.

I like vinyl records, ballpoint pens, cassette tapes, clear orange vinyl/resin, and shoving 120 film in dark places to see what shows up. I claim Austin, TX as my hometown, but have been living in Tokyo for a while. I've been collecting toys off and on for about 5 years. I was first introduced to vinyl toys, and Secret Base, by Jon Gomi. My first SB toy was the BMan Skullbrain, and it's still one of my favorites.

Like almost everyone else, it seems, I moved away from toys and started collecting punk and HC records. A lot of records. Which then started encompassing Drone, then Japanese Bossa Nova, and now a lot of everything. After moving to Tokyo and finding it would cost way too much to ship my records at once, I started collecting toys again.

I used to do small runs of...street art(?) in Austin and on occasional trips to Japan, but haven't been able to anymore since I no longer have a studio. Trying to spraypaint on a tiny balcony is no fun at all.

I spend my time playing with cheap paints and ruining silicon molds because I can't find a decent silicon mixture anywhere here. And buying things from the For Sale forum.

AGREED. The weather's starting to get warmer around here and my favorite thing about that is that more girls start wearing open-toed shoes and I can look at their feet. It's like all I think about during the day. Socks are like bras to me.



I'm John, I'm 17 and known as among the biggest "creepers" at my school, it's all pretty funny but really aggravating.

First vinyl I ever bought was the intheyellow version Cyclopus and then I was hooked. My collection is still very small as I don't have a real job and get my money from my mommy. Sanjeev was the one who convinced me to sign up on here, 'twas one of the best things I ever did.

Before vinyl, Transformers were my main thing. I have a couple hundred lying around that I need to get rid of. Also have a few odd modern chogokin toys and stuff like that. But vinyl and Glyos are currently my two main toy obsessions.

I think my writing is crap but people tell me it's good so I try to keep up with it. I've had a few poems in the school newspaper and have been working on novels since the 8th grade (I'm in 12th right now).

Rammstein, Evangelion, and microwaved Lays potato chips are among my favorite things.

Have you tried Wave silicon? Its not too bad (although it does rip a little easily, if you ask me).

I dunno, seeing the gals in black tights/leggings and uggs or shitkicker boots is a bit hawt... I find flip flops intrinsically annoying, especially when people drag their feet in them.

The of course you get the people with super gross feet that insist on wearing them *shudders*

I've tried the different variations of "Mystery Tins" at Tokyu Hands; a 500g paint can with a 20g glass bottle taped to the side. 2,500 yen for 500g of silicon just isn't enough, though. Where do you usually find Wave silicon?

And I'll go ahead and ask, any suggestions for resin or resin colorings that can easily be found around Tokyo? Again, I've played around with a bunch from Tokyu Hands, but none of them have come across as fantastic.

Tokyu Hands is ridiculously overpriced, in my opinion. They're alright in a pinch, but definitely not the best place to source things you plan on using regularly. I usually get my stuff at Yodobashi Camera's Hobby-Kan in Shinjuku (its on the west side of the station, across from all the bus stops). Wave is 2,500 for 1 kg I think, plus if you have a point card there you get 10% back to use next time.

im tony. im 34 yrs old, happily married and recruit nurses as my profession. i have a twin sister named tiffany. my mom was a twin machine. she had 3 sets. only 3 kids out of 3 sets of us "made it". the others perished in birth. im currently going to school for x ray. been collecting for a few years now, spawn, movie figures, etc.

i caught the fever for pushead a few years ago and he is def one of my favorites. i enjoy kaws's work as well as a few others out there. i used to skate when i was a kid and kick myself daily for not joining his fan club some 20 yrs ago. i dont know how i missed out on such incredible art, toys and even the septic death sounds, but wow, i sure did.

oh yea, and for an intro. i'm zach, a 24 yr old whippersnapper currently residing in the big apple... i enjoy art in all its forms. I especially love things that most people think are really nasty, which i usually find beauty in. i think my unquenchable thirst for art stems from the fact that i get little to no creative satisfaction out of my job (med student/ research assistant)

maybe we need to have a dnb corner of the board considering how many old school east coasters there are
