anyone in the UK get tix for those two blur shows that were just announced? would have tried if they weren't announced and released in the middle of the night here... probably would have made an excuse to visit europe. just curious

Southend has a pretty "hip" music scene, The Horrors, These New Puritans, the Xerox Teens (or whatever they are now), Ipso Facto and the like are all from there. I don't know it, but I have some mates who love it.
I hate that skinny jean over sized sunglasses ironic dork thing myself.
Donnyrobot ought to know more (that wasn't the insult it sounded like) he works at Rough Trade on Brick Lane which is almost like their mecca.
The most important thing about Southend for me is I can get back to London with relative ease

aw man... i'm behind of the times, i haven't a clue who those bands are. but in high school i liked all those popular brit pop bands that played on the radio here.

never been to British Seaside.. in fact, never been to anywhere in Europe before.. so thanks for the info. maybe i'll travel with a bag of toys for trade.

i got to see them once in 96 at the trocadero in philly.

it was amazing.
