Post Inspired Bicycles
Crazy shit (starts off slow).....

-------------
Filmed over the period of a few months in and around Edinburgh by Dave Sowerby, this video of Inspired Bicycles team rider Danny MacAskill features probably the best collection of street/street trials riding ever seen. There's some huge riding, but also some of the most technically difficult and imaginative lines you will ever see. Without a doubt, this video pushes the envelope of what is perceived as possible on a trials bike.

Jeeze, I guess freestyle BMX has grown up quite a bit since I was a kid.

Thanks for this link. BMX rules. I have never seen anyone roll on top of a rod iron fence like that.

The whole thing is pretty crazy, but the stuff off the tree is nuts, and I love how everyone runs to see if he wrecked himself after he jumps off the side of the elevated walkway/bridge thing...

Not just a backflip, but a McTwist! (At least, if that were done on a snowboard I believe that's what that woulda been.)
Wow - this looks like so much fun! But I just checked out these sorts of bikes on-line and was blown away at how much they cost! Holy crap! So much for picking up a cheap bike...but I guess that saves me the pain of realizing I'm too old for this sort of thing.

And the pain of cracking your nuts countless times trying to perfect tricks...

I wonder how many wheels/tires he goes through.

What's the point in having a rear cassette/derailleur?
And how're you able to pedal forwards/backwards AND have freewheel?

the rear cassette/derailleur I guess is something that started because trials is an offshoot of Mountain biking. You need the gears when you're doing this off road. Not so much on the street though where alot of modern day trials are really taking off. You also can't really pedal backwards with a freewheel. He's just moving his pedals backwards to be able to roll backwards. This is why it's so impressive is because he's literally balancing on a manual position and rolling backwards.
