I like the horned crocodile guy. I like the brain guy. I don't know about the other two. Maybe as a set they work, but I generally don't care for overly simplistic designs and smooth lines. I'm really liking the glitter body though. The color especially. Sort of a saturday-night-fever-penguin-meets-spaceman vibe from the neck down. I wonder if the heads will remain unpainted. Either way, I might like a set. Sunguts is really grabbing my attention lately. Thoughts on these?

The one on the far left looks like its based on the Asahi "Golden Flame" (more popularly known as the Golden Turd... just take a look: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asahi_Beer_Hall).


I love a lot of the new Sunguts stuff that's coming out (the Suikos rule), but something about these guys just makes it look like the head doesn't match the body. Might be the sharp contrast in paint (brown/glitter to stark white), might just be the minimalist paint in general. I think if I saw them in another color I'd be digging them, particularly the croc.

Thanks for the story link, Ricky! Anything named the Golden Turd is tops in my book--although, not a popular book! LOL! I also agree, the recent Sunguts stuff is pretty killer (e.g., all of the kappa) and these ones should be interesting to check out when finally released!

These are the least impressive things I have seen Sunguts release.

I dont really get these either ... nothing too special. The painted versions look way better than the unpainteds though.

ah.. ol' blind melon jenkins and spermsy the whale. excellent choices, sir. they look most like platform toys.

I couldn't quite tell what I hated about the sculpt, but that's it. It just looks like another faceless, bland platform toy that would be featured all over KR and Vinylpulse, except cast in Japanese vinyl.
