well, I use to live out that way and there were only a few stores that had stuff.

Chicago Comics might have some -- that's right on Belmont, near Clark.

House of Monsters
(773) 292-0980
1579 N Milwaukee Ave
Chicago, IL 60622

They should still be open, but call to make sure.

THen the big vinyl joint is Rotofugi http://www.rotofugi.com/

If you're willing to get out of the city, head up to Mitsuwa Mall in Arlington Heights. It's a large, all Japanese mall that has a pretty solid toy store with reasonable prices. Good food court too!

Yeah, not too much JP vinyl I'm afraid...as KW said, the Mitsuwa Mall is a good time...cool grocery store, easy way to score JP books and magazines etc...

G-fest is coming up pretty quick though...are you coming down for that? Should be enough kaiju there to choke a donkey i.e. "alot"

House of Monsters is gone, may they rest in peace.

You need to hit up J1 Toys in Arlington Heights (on Golf Rd)....they're the ones who used to have a shop in Mitsuwa, but they've moved out to a strip mall location now. Lots of Japanese stuff, though mostly of the Godzilla and Kamen Rider ilk.

Yea that J1 place is like 15 mins from me, I sort of liked it better when it was in Mitsuwa. I'll have to stop in soon and see if they got anything cool lately. Kind of weird last time I was there they had a
_unny, Kozik 10" Labbit, Icebots and few other pieces like that. Weird to see those there. What's G-Fest?..
