Arrived this morning. Quick shot...

Drill tail. Semi-transparent silver vinyl with metal flakes. Light violet, blue, black and gold paint.

(Anybody else seeing some screw-ups in the pic above? Lines going through middle of head? The problems are showing up for me using Safari, but not Firefox. The problems did not show up earlier even with Safari.... Not sure what the deal is.)

I would be interested to see how it turned out. Why don't you share some pics?

In fact, if you have one version, you have both. You can assemble with the drill either fore or aft.

The explanation I was given about it was a little confusing so I'll have to play around with it.

(i realize there is some serious implications in that sentence. try coming up with a better phrase to use in regards to a penis monster...."fiddle with", "mess around with"....none of them work  )

So if you hold it up to the light, you can somewhat see through the vinyl?
Similar to Gargamel's suspended silver flake?

The black spots almost look like bullet holes in the photo.
As if it's some battle-worn mechanical monster or something.

If you want to switch it, you will need to take off the arms and legs, reverse them, and then spin the head around. I don't think the figure will "flow" as well if you put the drill in front.

So, in the end, the choice was drill-tail or drill-penis? Either way, it's cool to be able to switch it all around to get what you want.

I chose drill tail because I figured that's how I would end up liking it the best based on advance pics, and I wanted Anraku to put it together and paint it in that configuration. I am not going to mess around with it trying to switch the arms and legs.

If I knew that the drill tail option was the alternative, I would've went that way too. I understood it to be, somewhat like Ed, either Drill-Penis or no drill at all/normal Methyl. At least that's how I read it, but switching it around isn't a big deal to me if I want to, especially since it's a clear/silver vinyl base. SHOULD be a bit softer then.

This is nice.

I'd like a full size Dako in that vinyl.

Based on what I can see, I don't believe you will have any problems if you make the switch. Just apply a little heat, obviously. But the colors should match just fine with no noticeable difference where the arms and legs meet the body.

This is what I was told as well. it was a "backwards" configuration of some kind.

I am happy either way really, and I agree that I won't mess with the original Anraku configuration.

As usual . . . I'm happy to be in the minority not seeing the attraction. I realize a lot of OG's and guys I respect are really digging 'em . . . maybe it's coz I don't know the backstory or anything about the manufacturer. Not hating but just curious . . . what's the appeal?
