 KILL!
I am looking at this KR board for the first time in a while. Please don't tell me that anyone on here has bought that chicken by tristan eaton? and that your momma is a joke to me.
maybe I got bad taste, maybe me and this tristan guy are from other planets. This stuff all looks like shit that would be at KB toys for 9.99 if "art toyz" was not so hot. maybe if there was cartoon or movie that was related these might work, but these designs with no content. This all somehow reminds me of this current wave of commercial punk/emo/new metal music that is popular now. low integrity, big paychecks.
moto? knewnan? please tell me why this design is speaking to you?
sorry for the hate, I am just confused.

I thought the chicken was kinda cool in a "Family Guy" kinda way, but I wouldn't buy it... But I do think the "Yo Mama" is pretty funny. Separates at the belt line to reveal a crack baby on the inside... I probably won't buy that one either, but at least I can appreciate the humor of it.

I like Tristan's earlier work (Voodoo, El Loco, Kidrobot) much better than his recent stuff. I haven't purchased any Thundermutts, and I won't be buying Your Momma or this chicken.

I like the first Thundermutt... it looks more like a cat to me, so it reminds me of my cat.

I actually like Tristan's artwork...I got one of his "layered" pieces from the recent show he had in Japan, and I like it quite a bit...
Seriously, I was very disappointed in the chicken...I love the "Buckin' chicken" commercials, but I don't know, the chicken figure doesn't look enough like a guy in a chicken suit. I think that sort of "campiness" was what I like about the commercials...
The "your mama" fig is sort of funny I guess, but that's about it...def hearkens back to "urban vinyl" roots which I was never into...all in all I like Tristan's work alot more when it concerns his "cute/ironic" characters: the clouds, runts etc...

I like you mama but I am not sure I will buy it. I like the concept but I don't think I would want to stare at it for very long. I have to give him credit for making a fun toy and giving the finger to cute and artsy. At least its not another platform toy.

i don't even consider the chicken anything other than a lame attempt to get hip with the youth culture of today...fucking BK
as for the yo momma. I just don't understand it. it just seems like the most useless black sterotype made into vinyl...crack babies, smoking while pregnant, house slipper, and a bat with a nail....hmmm. yep, really just don't see the collectability in it.

That's pretty much how I feel about it, except I know I won't be buying it. It's not something I'm interested in owning.

Oh ramos, I know your pain. This is exactly how I feel about so much of what's going on. Specifically the Muttpop figures. They look high quality, but where's the content? I think they'd be great if there was a kids cartoon and these were sold at TRU. But "art vinyl" it's not.
However, the Yo Mamma figures are based on preexisting art. TRS use to paint her a while back. As others have said, at least it's not another platform - and hopefully there won't be Kozik-numbers of colorways. But yeah, none of Tristan's stuff does anything for me either.

I only want it if I can get the Yo' Mama with the crack baby in its belly. The chicken is just plain wrong. I don't know if it'll hold my interest very long, hell I'll probably be over it by time SDCC gets here.

Even though I'm not really into western vinyl anymore I respect Tristan for what he did for and still does for the western vinyl scene.
I'm not crazy about the 2 recent figs but I wont bash em either. I guess different stroks for different folks ya know. There are still very serious western toy collectors and I'm sure this makes them happy like RxH does for me.
But I will say after all Tristan is an amazing artist, and going to school for illustration myself I say he is what every artist would want. He love his work and creats the figures HE likes.
Sounds good to me.

He's been cool to me, I won a full set of T-Mutt 2.0 and he tagged some shwag for me. His bro Matt is cool too.
