going on a tour of eastern Europe then will be in Berlin roughly around June 17-20 and London June 21-23. seeing Blur at southend-on-sea on the 21st woohoo!

Any suggestions where to eat, shop, get shit-faced, stay (London only... somewhere relatively cheap and safe preferred), listen to music, etc. greatly appreciated . if anyone wants to talk toys, might be able to squeeze that in too.

Based on the little I know about you, I would suggest staying at the holiday inn on old street, there's a nicer hotel on Shoreditch High Street, I forget the name, but it looks more expensive
Right in Shoreditch, basically the birthplace of street art, so a wander around there and you see banksy, faile etc etc all over. Lots of galleries, Stella Dore, Black Rat Press etc.
Decent boozers, hipster heaven (gag), easy access to the city & west end, and of course, Brick Lane... which on a monday/tuesday won't be to exciting.

For cheap food, sample as much kebab as possible and compare the two
cities. I think London win.
There is a dirty place rigth off Earl's Court station
that is to die for. My best turkish sandwich ever. I still dream about it.
