through twitter,,i ran into an old, old skate friend who i have not spoken to in about 18years..

anyhow,,he linked me to some old photos he scanned to flickr..

it is hard to believe that this is already 21years ago & we are still skating :shock:

yes,,it has inspired me to dig out my old pics from back then & scan them at work..i am hoping to dig them out by next weekend..

i know i have lots from the brooklyn banks...good times!!

the harlem banks were great (minus the over hanging lip which hindered their potential)..

i think it's then sketchy location,,kept a lot of the downtown & out-of-town rats away..135st & malcolm x blvd was interesting in the height of the crack epidemic

legend has it that hosoi rocked up there around that time period & pulled 5foot airs!! :shock: it was certainly not documented & never heard anymore about it..i wonder if those banks still exist??

I've been trying to get out skating more lately but I tweaked my achilles last weekend and now pushing kills me, it sucks.

More people should post up old skate photos!
