Post New Hukkokudo
I know not many people are into some of the Hukkokudo reprint sculpts but I love the Beralgon & Tetran. Spotted these on Hukko blog today. Does anyone know where I can purchase these besides YJA? Seems like no one ever offers them (except the hedorah). Really really digging the new Hawaiian Beralgon! Never will have a subscriber Zag but it looks to be the same color scheme:

oh and the hedorah- a bit too much going on for my taste:

So Target Earth/ Hukkokudo one in the same?

I'm all about that Hedoro, has a real "Bemon" feel to it (though iBemon has a real IKB "Hedoro" feel to it seeing IKB kicked it all off, but I'm talking about the paint in this case, not sculpt.)

I like all 3 actually, but I'm trying to stick to Hedoros and Smoguns only on the Hukkokudo repros. I'm wondering if Grumble Toy will get them, they had the clear red Hedoro. So sad I missed the clear red GT had up, just had no cash at the time.

I had three versions of each, Beralgon & Tetran and they are great figures.
Like a fool I sold them off to get I have no idea what!

Really stiff vinyl and so old school since they were from og molds.

Man, the Beralgon looks killer. Would love to know what avenue to take to try and track one down. Not so much into this paint app on the hedo though.
I'm so confused on the Target Earth vs. Hukkokudo thing. Didn't S7 get the TE smoguns? Maybe they will get these??

My understanding is that "Hukkokudo" re-releases og figures from og molds.
Target Earth figures are creations by the Marmit sculptor/painter I believe.
So the Hukkokudo Hedos I don't think have anything to do with TE unless there are TE paint versions of some sort that perhaps I missed somehow.

I think Target Earth & Hukkokudo are one in the same. Maybe Hukkokudo concentrating on the reprint aspect while TE does new sculpts? Could be wrong just a guess.

EDIT: what Ralph just beat me to saying.....

I wonder how long these molds can last, any one know? I know they're the original molds, which is AWESOME, but I heard that the Smogun shows signs of stress on the figures and won't last much longer from someone. Just curious how long they can keep these up?

Slighty off topic, I wish we'd see more variants of the walking and crawling Hedoros. Only 2?! And I know the're not selling like hot cakes, but neither do some of the other Hukkokudo figures.

I was under the impression that they were re-molded since they're a little smaller than the vintage, but I don't know for sure. I also though that Hukkokudo was done and Target Earth took over, but the blog is still going so who knows. I'd definitely like to see at least all the vintage colors of the hedoros reproduced.

I think all of the vintage colours have been produced now. The red with black spray was released a few months ago and I thought that was the last of the litter?

I personally love the Hedoro. Like Ralph mentioned above, the vinyl is super thick and amazing in hand.

I like these Patchi versions a lot. I also think that the photo of the Hedoro above may be quite dark/yellow - at least judging by the image of the Hedoro seen here - http://pink.ap.teacup.com/kadomiumtank/

Hedo does look a lot better in that photo, thanks for the info Tim. Wow, completely off topic, is that Scott Stealthtank down the page giving the thumbs up? I think it is. Living the dream....

I remember it being said that the original molds were being used, and heard rumors that they're cracking (stress marks on the figures being proof) but it's all rumors, stuff gets lost in translation all the time with these types of things. Anyone in Japan or the "biz" have any connections who know?

And I can attest, there are stress cracks going on on these molds. You can see it on smoggon's face.

Will it affect the vinyl in the long run? Will it crack eventually?

Won't affect the vinyl.
But once the mold cracks, bye bye future releases.

This is why I grabbed a couple of these last year...it will be sad when they can't make more. These guys are great!

Why can't they make a new mold? My understanding is that M-1 and B-Club, among others, have done it all the time with old Bullmark figures.

Original molds makes it more interesting, I guess.

I'm liking the Hukko hedorah sculpt more and more...but that paint job is pretty hideous. Although I could change my mind next week.
