Post Ghostbusters
Anyone picked this up? I got a copy for my 360 and have been really enjoying it. I feel like it could have used some more polishing, I think it may have been a bit rushed. Despite any buggyness, the original cast of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Harold Ramis lending their voices make this worth playing. Plus, playing with the proton pack and PKE meter are something I've wanted to do since I was a kid. this is the next best thing. Dan Aykroyd as Ray Stantz really shines, you can just tell he was really enjoying playing a ghostbuster again. I don't know if I would recommend it to just anyone, but I was a huge GB fan as a kid (and still) and I'm really liking this.

I haven't played it yet but I'm aching to try it. I will probably get around to renting a copy this weekend...
how is the replay value? I might consider buying it if it's worth it.

Thanks for posting this. I've been on the fence about it because of the whole "based on a movie" situation. Sounds like it's an exception to the rule.

replay value is moderate. I haven't played it on live yet, so I can't comment on that. I usually find that playing a game the second time around is more enjoyable for me anyway, so my idea of replay value may be a little skewed. the process of wrangling the ghosts into a trap with the positron collider is fun, and they've included other weapons like the slime gun from the second movie. they've really gone out of their way to make you feel like you're playing a part in ghostbusters 3 (if there were one) by having the original actors interact with your character. the entire soundtrack is taken from both movies, and fits right in. there's even a talking portrait of vigo the carpathian residing in the firehouse now. I can see non-movie fans enjoying it less, but any fan of the films will be giddy I think.

both original authors, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis. and yep, they wrote the script for the game as well. lots of fun cameos by well known spooks from the films too.
