I should have known...boo. But when it's a luxury item like this it's hard to be too upset. I shouldn't spend the money anyway. And the way my luck runs as soon as I bought this I'd need a new muffler or the air conditioner would blow....

I had it in the cart, checking out and was about to pull the trigger and then said fuck it, I don't need this. Sure they're already up on eBay for twice the amount and people are chomping at the bit on em...

Paying the insanely inflated prices is what amazes me. I can't do it anymore. I can't count the number of times I've paid a hefty amount for something only to see it go for 1/2 what I paid 6 months later. I have no problem paying a little extra to cover expenses and such but this...

I realize KAWS might be a different fish all together and won't ever hit its retail price on the secondary market but still... And besides maybe he'll do a white chrome or a gloss black.

There is a "chrome" version and a "black chrome" version. Unfortunately the "black chrome" sold out today - that was the one I liked the best...not that I could afford one.

I am so out of the loop...Oh well. Like I said, it's hard to be upset about missing out given the state of things...

I would have liked to have one of these, I could swing it but I can't justify it.

You know in the coming weeks / months that some people are gonna be having buyers remorse and trying to flip theirs at a loss. But it still won't be at a price I would feel comfortable paying. I seriously would rather buy og artwork from some of the artists I show then this piece at the end of the day.

i'll bet $5 that we won't see this figure sell publicly for less than retail.

And others are bidding them up (22 Bids to $1,800.00) when there are lower BINs.

Unless it's a quirk in timing (BIN's listed post bid) then that's just retarded!
