Half the time anymore I feel like people are posting toys/arts/crafts for children's bedrooms. liquidsky wrote: Yet even more resin: DKE x Bwana Spoons Exclusive Pearl Rainbowasaurus

I just say no to resin but I'd love to see a vinyl version of the Bwana figure.

I have always disliked the beaver - found it to be too much of Jon Kricfalusi rip-off... I also agree the Dom [expletive deleted] is pretty cool - have always had a soft spot for [expletive deleted]. The smoking corps dude kills - always have thought this series was underated. ... anything else??

I love resin, just not the ones I've seen lately that look like paint by numbers blanks for kids etc. Chad Hensley wrote: I just say no to resin but I'd love to see a vinyl version of the Bwana figure.

I want to take whatever marketing classes he took!

Re: Official SDCC 2009 Preview Thread (Spoilers)
I like the original beaver by Jeff Pigeon. Not so hot on the Kozik version. I see the original more as a Hanna-Barbara rip that a John K one, although John K is ripping the same source so similarities are there. Even though I don't like the Kozik one, why are people jumping on the repaint hate. I'm looking at my collection of several figures all repainted again and again. I do agree the repaint is terrible, as it doesn't really fit the figures cartoon shape or appeal.

The "hate" I believe is from the fact that its not so much a repaint as laziness...? animator wrote: I like the original beaver by Jeff Pigeon. Not so hot on the Kozik version. Re: Official SDCC 2009 Preview Thread (Spoilers)
i've only known him as a neighbor with a semi-open studio in SF. in that capacity, frank is very cool and even gave me a ride home once because it was cold. I've always enjoyed his poster art and even the occassional toy he makes.
I'm sure to some he's "too big for his britches" and his commercialism is a turnoff to his art.

Re: Official SDCC 2009 Preview Thread (Spoilers)
These aren't toys but I can't wait to get a set. "Star Wars lightsabers merge with Japanese culture and "Chop Sabers" emerge! Suitable for eating sushi or defending the galaxy, the Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader lightsabers measure 9" long, with the blades cast in translucent material. The smaller "children's size" Yoda saber measures approximately 7" long. As a special bonus each set includes translucent Star Wars logo chopstick rests. An awesome and fun collectible!" http://starwars.com/vault/collecting/20090708.html
