Post mechagodzilla ID?
Can someone identify who makes this mechagodzilla? Looks really similar to the M1 version but the face is different. I also think it's a giant size. I want to say Marmit but I'm not sure. Also does anyone know if it glows? Looking for it.

It's the standard size M1 MG75 painted glow Mandarake exclusive, released in 2001 as part of a set with Titanosaurus. M1/Mandarake also sold them both as an unpainted set.

I have that Mandarake set. I don't think this is the same one. It's a bigger sized one (look at the elephant taigon guy next to it for size reference- that's a standard 9) and the face looks different. If it is the same, I A) need glasses. B) will end my headache of searching for it and explain why I never found it online

Yeah, on second glance, it's not M1 with that dropped lower jaw ... and the rivets just above the MG2 emblem do not show up on the M1.

The crisp sculpt details almost make it look like a kit, perhaps the Billiken MG2? That kit is 10"+ tall kit and this one might have been a custom paint to make it look like a glowie. More pics here with my custom Billiken MG2.

As for size, how tall are the mini Smogons, appears there are two in front of it? But we also can't see if the MG is maybe standing on a riser or not.

I have this, it's a Marmit and GID and one of the best MG toys ever made. That sculpt is way overlooked.

Hmm this one has me a little stumped. Something looks off from the Marmit...which one do you have?

Here's Fun9us' flickr...I think he has them all...

I cant find my Marmit but I found a picture and this is not it. I was thinking ite the M1 extra head but that has a closed mouth too.

Get a better picture! Or ask whoever that is that has it cause I want to know too.

I'm about 90% sure it's the Billiken Shokai gid MG2 model painted up in that bluish colorway. I've seen these preassembled/prepainted on Y!J before, but they were always quite pricey...

I'm honestly not sure if someone was buying the kits and custom-painting them him/herself, and just selling the completes on Y!J...OR if these were official releases by Billiken.

Yeah I think you're right about it being Billiken...

Image

There's a mini smogun right in front of the MG in the pic which looks to put it at about the right height. I do really like that they painted it with an M1/Marmit style colorway...most Billiken builds are painted for realism.

Billiken made a GID version? I did not know that...now I want one!

Yeah, the GID is actually not that rare...just be patient, and you'll see 'em pop up every now and then on Y!J in the neighborhood of 10k. I have one that I haven't gotten around to painting up yet...

The neat thing about them (as you can probably start to guess from the pic you posted) is that the finger missiles are actually separate pieces. And...they're cast in metal! VERY bitchin'! It'll be interesting to come up with something for the glowie...maybe spray paint them with red glow paint or something...
