Just curious to see if anyone else played.
I played 3rd edition back in high school and my first year of college, and recently got my old Chaos army back from a friend of mine. As soon as I can find a place to play I'm sure I'll be sucked back in.

When I decided to get back into 40k i decided on BA's, due to the free codex. I got some models, but when I found out my buddy had my old nurgle army, I jumped on that. Now, there is a box of blood angels under my bed, lol.
Looking at the new chaos codex I'm kind of indifferent to it, since they dropped free champion upgrades when running squads in sacred numbers. I've yet to play a game under the new rules so we'll see how that goes.

Yeah, 40K and most of the Games Workshop stuff has been an expensive weakness of mine. Before moving to NYC I had amassed a large Templar army but that fell victim of the load-lightening.

I loved bloodbowl too! I had snagged rules out of one of the GW mags for a lizardman team and thats what I used. I played Lizardmen in fantasy too, before they had half of the models they do now, and the stegadonns were solid pewter

Ben, Mason plays Chaos (in case you didn't know...). So I'm MAD outta the loop, but what's the problem with Chaos now?

Oh, anyone ever get into Space Hulk? I'm more of a fan of quicker "dungeon crawler"-type games like that. I'm trying to get my buddies organized for Marvel Heroscape since you can steal cheap pre-painted mini's from Heroclix and custom rules for, like, every fucking character in the Marvel Universe are easy to find online!

I played Mason's Chaos when I went to pick up my first SOC's from him There's just alot of whining among some of the older players because Chaos Marines and Demons were split into two separate incompatible armies (I think) and they lost alot of the special-type troops, becoming more generic 'Chaos' rather than having the ability to make some of the more 1-theme armies of old.

Oh yeah, the Necros were mo-fos. That one really leveled the playing field in my opinion...

I hated playing necrons back in 3rd edition. kill them, roll a dice, they are back up again...so frustrating
