 Black is the new black
Got home from the lake, found the package, opened it, brought toys outside to photograph, ... and it started to pour. Only got two shots, but have since added more below...

As much as I like your pictures, Geo... That was a sign! I couldn't imagine a more perfect backdrop for these than apocalyptic clouds & rain. Take your beautiful toys outside, or at least on the porch...

There's actually some history behind this guy, just like Nue. EDIT: Here http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/酒呑童子 He's a liquor demon it seems.

I like all of his creatures with the exception of this one. To my knowledge..this is the only one that wear's a vest and gstring. To me, the addition of clothes, doesn't seem to expand on the sculpt. It's bizarre. I love the cobolt and all of those toys but the 'clothes aspect' is something I don't get.

Thank you! Those are beautiful pictures. I love the paint. More chemically-treated color changes? Please post some more.

I didn't think you'd really like it more, just wanted to expand what it was and even if your thoughts on how attractive the figure was or not you'd appreciate what it is a little bit more is all. Also WHY it's wearing clothes. I always take my DB's vests off only because the paint job on the back is insane and should be shown. Oni's/Demons wear clothes most of the time, so I understand why he's wearing clothes. It's not just some weird addition done for the sake of it. I can see why a lot of collectors don't like clothes on their toys, I don't like it on the Boogie ever and they load that mofo UP. But Drunk Boy just has the vest, loin cloth and SOMETIMES pipecleaner necklace. All pretty easy fixes if you're not into the clothes. BUT if you're not into the sculpt overall nothing's gonna help

There was one other: black vinyl with green paint instead of blue - I would love to see pics of the green version if anyone here has it.

There will certainly be figures at the show to view and enjoy, just like works by the other participating artists. Whether there will be any available for sale at the show is another matter....

It is going to be a GREAT show! I am really excited and grateful that Anraku's work will even be making an appearance at a show in the US. (I don't think it ever has before.) And there are exclusive figure releases that will be sold planned for Charactics, Elegabu, Hariken, Brian Morris, Joey Potts, Real x Head, Rumble Monsters, Chris Ryniak, Lake Monsters, Skull Toys, Sunguts, Yamo-Mark, and Zollmen... Plus, I would be surprised if most of the other 60 or so participating artists don't also have things for sale (customs, paintings, etc.). (See the list on the flyer here: http://www.skullbrain.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=27288&start=125) So there will definitely be LOTS of eye candy to experience in person, and definitely no shortage of great stuff to buy if you want to.
