Great call on Crystal Castles - but I have plans - I think they played at the Detroit Bar last night - wherever that is!

Is Phillipe's The Original worth checking out?
saw this place on the travel channel 2 nights ago, and was amazed. I didn't know that they were arguably the first restauraunt to serve up the French Dip. I'm planning on heading back down to L.A in a few weeks... Is it worth checking out? can you get the au jus as a dip on the side? or is it standard to get just a once dipped, or a double dipped sandwich? any review would be helpful

Re: What's Up In LA and SoCal!
You're probably talking about Philippe's. You can get the au jus on the side. I would recommend the lamb and smother a ton of their spicy mustard on it. But overall, I would prefer a place like Langer's where you can get hand cut pastrami sandwiches.

Philippe's... save your money and time. Instead lick the bottom of someone's sweaty boot for the same effect. Travel slightly South into Little Tokyo and eat almost anywhere else there.

Re: What's Up In LA and SoCal!
Looking forward to seeing the LASK! What's the deal with the trade? Will it be inside on a vendor table or outside? I am bringing a box of goodies for the trade.
