 SDCC Help
I need some help from anyone headed to SDCC. Tim Biskup is going to sell 10 big pollards:
"Only 20 of these exist! A "test-shot" is a sample that is made from a different mold from the regular production version (coming later this year!). Each one is hand painted by Tim himself. 10 of them (2 per day) will be sold by lottery."
The pollard is my favorite figure but I never win anything. I was hoping some of the skullbrainers that will be at sdcc will add their names to the lottery for me so I ahve a better chance of wining. Anyone willing to help out?

Damn. That's a little unfair for the rest of us who also want to pick one up.

I don't know what it looks like but if you get a pollard I will dance at your front door in the outfit.

I knew I'd get shat on for having a contrary opinion about this. I'm not going to start a new thread of my own because I honestly don't think it's cool. Just my opinion. But if it ends up working out for you, then I'm the chump. But I've got one-up on you in that my sailor moon outfit is coming along quite nicely.

I can't believe that this hasn't been updated...
Okay, so here's the story: On the first day that they held the raffle, there was a pretty tiny crowd because it was preview night. most of the interested parties were in attendance, and one of the guys I'm sharing a room with was one of the lucky stiffs to get one of the Pollards.
On day two, there were more people, and there seemed to be some confusion about how the raffle actually worked... some guys just grabbed tickets thinking that if their name got called, they won something for free - when in actuallity, it just entitled them to first pick of what was for sale that day.
So they start pulling names, and the first guy wasn't present, and they drew another name... this guy didn't want to have to pay, so he passed on it (Knewnan was standing right next to him and offered to pay the guy some extra cash if he'd buy one of the Pollards, but he declined). The next name pulled was Scud80, but unfortunately, he was over at ToyTokyo waiting in line for a signing, so he was out. The fourth name pulled was another guy who passed. And finally, the fifth name pulled was "G. Pogue"... we couldn't believe it. He was literally shaking from the adrenaline rush of having to go through all of this...
On the third day, I missed out on the drawing because I was stuck in line over at Starbucks for 45 minutes (!!!), but when I eventually got back to the drawing, I found that Brian Flynn (fearless leader) had won one... along with Knewnan (again!)
Talk about crazy convention stories...

Starbucks sucks... they took my order and money really quickly, but the wait for them to actually make my drink is what took 45 minutes... so I had the option of abandoning my $5.50 and my Venti Caramel Frappacino to possibly win a Pollard, or gamble that the drawing would be somehow delayed. Turns out that my name didn't get called anyway, so I made the right choice in the final analysis.

actually, I'm not sure Knewnan won a Pollard the second time... they only had two Pollards per day, and they also had like 4 additional paintings/prints/pictures available for purchase also... so he might've won the chance for one of those.
Sorry, I should've made that more clear... don't want to get Knewnan mad at me.
