So did Chanman just modify his original painting? I know it didn't sell originally at s7 or the artshocker show but it looks like he just added to it. Below is the original.

Yeah, he did. And, he apparently spent hours altering it :?:

I think it looks better now, but I can still see the appeal of the original.

Funny about the Katope = GOD... Bird God and Bird God Party titles from two of his originals... ha ha ha

All of Katope's work has sold but I am eagerly trying to put together a solo show with him for some time in 2010. His work has been the highlight of the current exhibit. People just come in and stare at them in awe. I'm actually really attracted to the photography work in the exhibit by Yoshimi. I will try and post pics soon or you can just check out our site. All landscape portraits, but the exposure time is anywhere from 5-45 minutes and he uses a flashlight with colored gels to outline specific pieces in the photograph. His series focus on Animism. Without the added color and whatnot they would still stand out as great photographs, but the added color and exposure time(s) just make them pop like you couldn't believe. When I see work like this, that's when I balk at people who don't view photography as an art form. How can it not be when you look at work like his...
