Ha. I roadied for Exodus and Metallica way back in the day. Back when they were tearin' up Ruthies, Keystone Berkeley, Mabuhay Garden, all that old skool thrash shit. Partied with Slayer and Exodus once, $15 grand in damages to the hotel, them boys are fuckin' nuts.

Bro my first show was Metallica Master of Puppets and Ozzy ultimate sin..Man if i lived out west I'd buy you a beer at the show..Testament holds so much history for me..They were one of the very first metalbands i loved.Would fall asleep every night w/them playing in my walkman..It was great in the 80s the metal scene was so raw and new....

Heh, I'm a geezer, I was hangin' with Metallica before Kill'em All came out. I remember when that hit and they were going on thier first big Euro tour and they were moving out of the "Metallica House", that was a fuckin' rager. We dressed there old, passed manager in bra-n-panties-n-shit and some girls made him up. We used that on flyers for days. Good times.

my review:

testament opened with the preacher. they raged for an hour and a half chuck billy played lots of air guitar and they closed with disciples of the watch. truly killer.

vio-lence is so awesome

and Anthrax is probably in my top 5 favorite bands of all time. I wish they would play a Philly show with Joey back. I really actually wanted to see that tour that was them opening for Rob Zombie, but it came nowhere near the east coast.

Last summer my band played a show in chicago, in a classroom at dePaul university. After our set, this dude walks up to me and starts asking me about my gear and tells me that i have mad guitar tone. He's clearly a lot older than the 16-18 year old crowd that's there so i talk to him a bit. I introduce myself and he's like "my name is Alex Skolnick." I say... 'dude i know your name'.. and he responds 'yeah, i played guitar in Testament.'

Turns out he was on tour with his jazz trio and they had the night off so they were walking around and they heard bands playing, so they followed the noise and ended up seeing us play.

It was totally weird, i remember reading his articles in guitar player and stuff then he tells me i have good tone.... damn.
