 Major Lazer
My wife is really digging Major Lazer and has been showing me their videos. Some of them are pretty cool! Love the "GI Joe Commercial" part of this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oe5vPwlPbwM&NR=1Andy Milonakis as a Zombie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=quj1U6tp ... re=relatedCrazy video, but maybe NSFW (simulated humpage): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2nmgcVbfKE

 Re: Major Lazer
I keep trying to play this at this store. Josh is very patient with me when it comes to the music I play (I am eternally grateful for that) but I think the autotuned baby track might have been a note to far. Lucky for me Lisa likes it so we have it on rotation at home.
I should declare this "learn a new dance" Friday but I don't want to spend Saturday in a wheelchair.

 Re: Major Lazer
I keep seeing this dudes name dropped, Mishka's Blog has done so a few times. I keep wanting to check it out, but I'm lazy. Major Lazy.

 Re: Major Lazer
download the Mishka Major Lazer mix if you haven't done so already. Also, did anyone else notice they got nominated for a VMA?

*edit*
I don't want to thread hijack.
Switch is great! I like Major Lazer. I wish the new video didn't have Daggering.. and I think Skerrit Bwoy (the main dancer) is a bad person.. for reals..

 Re: Major Lazer
the music is pretty annoying, the first video is great with the gi joe ad.
the last video directed by eric wareheim from tim & eric, is pretty crazy.

 Re: Major Lazer
I'm kind of glad I had no idea what this was until someone else brought it to my attention, and echo 3x3is9, daggering or whatever and that dancer is horrible and bordering on rape glorification.

 Re: Major Lazer
I like switch's radioclit remix. Diplo production is always top notch, but I am not a huge fan of this collaboration effort. It reminds me too much of this kind of stuff http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mcEzftJMXThe best part about major lazer is the story line. The fidget style house construction and repetitive name/sample drops switch brings in has a weird flow to me opposed to diplos smooth transitions. That pon de floor video is awful too, I suppose that is supposed to to tie in the dancehall part of the story? However I definately have seen a group of 20 people in long beach "dancing" just like that in the club.
