 Re: Trashy 70's Horror Comics
i've only really read the basic old school stuff. i have the EC hardcover library for Shock Suspenstories, Wierd Science, and Tales From The Crypt. i'll have to look into some more of these not so well known titles, thanks for the pics. i've saved them to my comp for future reference...

 Re: Trashy 70's Horror Comics
Bad timing - I just put my comics into storage. Some of the overseas comics/magazines had some great covers!

 Re: Trashy 70's Horror Comics
Awesome! Horror comics from the begin of the comic industry until the 70's kicked so much ass. I'm not into a lot fo newer stuff (Living Dead's cool, but not the same deal.)
The best part is the cover art, makes me want to dig up my "Tales from the Crypt" anthology. I can stare at the covers of these things and never read the comic. They remind me of Itallian and old Mexican horror movie posters too, a lot fo the same attributes.

 Re: Trashy 70's Horror Comics
Man when I was a kid in the 70's & early 80's I used to always go down to the local newspaper shop and get new horror comics. There was this one about an army base infected with vampires. I still remember loving that comic, but cannot remember the name of it to save my life. wish I could because I'd buy it again!

I'm sure this isn't what you were looking for Lixx, but this looks hilariously awesome. It's a world gone MAD! And I remember Creature Commandos! (Why was the vampire's name "Velcro"?)

 Re: Trashy 70's Horror Comics
Punkin it wasn't either of those, but thanks for trying to find it. I think it had to have been btw the years 78-81. Might have been DC? The story definitely had a vampire plot to it, and I know army guys were infected. All things undead scared me as a kid.

Those are awesome!!! Totally amazing. I'd love to see some of that stuff reprinted! (or in a flea market box for a quarter!)
