Hey, this post is to test the waters to see if any skullbrainers might be interested in a Secret Base custom swap? It's been over a year since the last one, and I'd like to try to get a SB swap to be a yearly thing. Plus there are some new faces on the board who like to paint and I would love to see some Secret Base goodness from them.

Here are the rules (lifted from last years signup post):


I'd like to get at least 5 people to commit before its a go, but obviously there would be no upper limit- I don't have an idea for a timeline, but like last year I'd like to keep it under 2 months to complete to keep things timely.

So yeah, I'd like to get 5 names before I consider it a go, as always everyone is welcome- I'd love to see some of the veteran customizers join in if possible (especially some of the bigger painters who promised to join in a swap in the past) and well as fresh faces.

Since bert mentioned it, if you're on the fence on the whole Secret Base thing, and would prefer a "any fight fig" swap, let me know. Ideally I'd like to keep it Secret Base if possibly for continuity's sake, and when its Secret Base everyone who plays will have at least some idea of what they are going to get. But I'll go with the greater response.

The 'any fight fig' idea sounds neat... I've got pretty much no interest in SB, so I wouldn't participate in that, but I've got RxH beige blanks, and have always wanted to try painting a Cronic Maverasu

I hope everyone does. I'd hate to get one that was painted just for the sake of painting it...instead of painting one knowing that the other person is putting a good amount of time and effort into it.

Count me in. The last one was a blast.

Cmon, we got 6 down for Secret Base- last year we had 10, we gotta do better then that!

EDIT- Also, to everyone, I hope everyone does their absolute best at painting these- I know you all have been painting for at least a year (because most of you were in the last trade) so I except the customs to reflect that. I don't want any duds, I want to see improvement from last years turn out so no one feels as though they might not get something cool! If you can't airbrush then buy some Good paints (no cheap chunky walmart poster paint), and if you can't brush paint decorate it some other way, just use your imagination and make something you are proud of!

Hey Kelvo, hey everybody- sorry I've been a flake, you guys who have shown an interest are awesome and I thank you, but I was honestly hoping for a bigger turnout for the swap because we have talent coming out of the ears around here. I'm obviously not going to call people out, but I was hoping some familiar names might sign up. Is everyone too busy right now for a swap? Is the idea of a Swap too 2008? C'mon folks! Sign the hell up, paint a figure and share the love for the base and get a figure back!

You might get better turnout if you re-beat the drum after TK2 and all the big customizes have had a moment to cool off... I still do like the swap idea, and would love to see more.

most fan customs look like shit. just not motivated right now to do a shit custom for some else's shit custom.

I think I'm out of this. Doesn't seem to be interest and it will probably be unorganized if hellopike is uninterested.
