 SB Fantasy Football League
Well, we all know that silly season is approaching, where grown men and women hunker down in front of their TVs on Sunday afternoons to throw things at it.
I have commissionered pay-to-play fantasy football leagues for years, and I'd love to run a free league of SBers. If 9 or 11 other SBers are interested and sign up here, I'll sign up for a free ESPN league and get it all set up with a live draft (with a computer GM drafting for you if you are unavailable/don't want to draft). Did I mention it would be free?
I'd prefer to have a 12 team league, but we can definitely do 10 if there isn't that much interest. Sign up below, and if/when we get enough I get the ball rolling and PM you all the league password. I'd like to have the Live Draft as close to the season start as possible (Thurs, Sept 10 is the first regular season game).

 Re: SB Fantasy Football League
if there was a buy in, it would be awesome if we gave the money to an artist ( PK, Lamour, Dead Prez, LASH) to do a customized toy as the prize. although i do like money prizes, i think a toy would be a good prize for this board

 Re: SB Fantasy Football League
OK, that's 12!
A couple things. Yahoo's fantasy site was raised as a possibility instead of ESPN's service. I'm pretty agnostic when it comes to the two, so if you want to reply with which service you'd prefer (or a "don't care"), I'll sign up tomorrow afternoon with which ever one gets the most votes.
Secondly, a buy-in with a custom toy for the winner sounds like an amazing idea, and I'm definitely all for it. The question is, how should the money issue be addressed? Would we send it directly to the artist? (probably the best idea). How much of a buy in were you thinking? $10? $20? How about keeping a deadline for payment? The pay league I run now is a $25 buy in with cash prizes at the end of the year, but the people in the league are all close friends of mine so it is easy to track them down and get the cash out of them. Or should we just keep it free and easy?

 Re: SB Fantasy Football League
Don't care which service we use. I like the custom idea or maybe a gift certificate to super7.

Yahoo is fine with me. I would choose buy-in for cash or custom.

I'm out if there is a buy in. I don't collect toys anymore & am broke as fuck. If you guys decide to do a buy in someone can claim my spot.

 Re: SB Fantasy Football League
OK, let's just make this year free and easy. Yahoo sounds like the drug of choice, so I'll get it set up tomorrow. If there is enough interest for a second league with an actual cash/custom prize, I'll contact the customiser guys, and see if we can work out something.
