I like Fish Tacos . . . although I lack the experience to tackle one like a pro!

Cheers fella (and thanks to others for the PM's) . . . Whilst I understand the concept of 'claiming' an auction with so many collectors and so few items it's a double-edged sword. Cest l'vie.

To try to do it with the present state of the board is absurd.

Wasn't to long ago when a member bid on an item others would just stay of their kool-aid, but now it would be absurd to expect this kind of courtesy

more members = more difficulty keeping up with auction IDs

Also, posting something about "leave my auction alone" on a public message board is an invitation to disaster---this has been clear here for a couple of years at the least...not much of a reason to bail though...toys come back around eventually, and sometimes for a lot less than you missed out on the first time.

Yah. I've actually noticed that sometimes people will even trade flip and outright scam before they get banned on some forums.

Exactly. I've passed for people only to get my feet stepped on when it was their turn to return the courtesy.

I still respect the majority of SBer's auctions but not everyone's, not anymore.

I never really understood the auction list, never was on it, and saw people do shady things to use it to their advantage.

Sorry to see a member go over this. but if they feel that this is what the community has come to, then hey. I can't say that I don't see it. there are still some good guys here. definitely. I try to stick with who I "know". and I try to see the good here (and it's not too hard).

this thread has changed a bit in my time here. I like some of the changes, but with more ppl, you get lost in the sauce more easily--and it gets funky sometimes. and unfortunately, we all have our own ideas as to how we should treat each other and where we draw the line, and what this place is about.

btw, the douchebag site was funny as hell. and the women--though hot (sort of)--don't look like they want much more than what they have.

Post Re: Dear Skullbrain
Back in the day we would "claim" stuff on SB - but that was when there was probably a hardcore of about 50 on the board, and maybe 10 or so folk after SecretBase. We also had fewer lurkers. People would even step aside if they knew someone was after a specific toy - it was very community oriented. Ebay also used to reveal id's - so it was easier to see who was who and keep honorable (as it were)

Things have changed through sheer numbers, and of course lurkers. I still think the majority of folk here are really cool and help each other out. Within a group of known friends, no problem, but posting an auction "claim" board-wide isnt really feasible anymore. But change is inevitable and I guess Mason wasnt expecting that.

I hope Mason is back. He's a cool guy who has helped me out before and vice versa.

I think its time this thread was laid to rest.

I would agree with Carl here. I am by no means a long standing member on SB, but I still see a lot of looking out for fellow board members here. When certain items pop up I see a good amount of So and So is looking for that, PM him or her, etc.
