Yeah, that was a good song, and a good Adrian Sherwood-produced album. I was overly harsh on them on purpose. Desperately trying to keep the OG cred up. 8)

I'll try to be non-banal for a change.

Will this matter see resolution, or has it already been resolved "behind the scenes?"

like glenn said, he's back from vacation today. i'm sure you guys will hear something back soon.

oh and i dig the cabaret voltaire talk. it made me look up some neubaten stuff. i always think of neubaten when i think of cabaret voltaire for some reason.

Cool, thank you. Just curious, no real biggie.

Associating the two acts makes sense. Both made use of non-instruments, found objects and audio sources, and noise in their work. To my mind a major difference is that Neubauten had considerable stage presence due to Blixa's amazing theatrical mastery. What I like about this sofubi maker going by "Nag Nag Nag" is that it evokes the "do it yourself" ethic of OG punk/avant-garde and independent vinyl monster making.

Ironic since there's nothing OG punk/avant-garde and independent about deleting that thread.
Reminds me I gotta take my pills.

eh i was yawning at a particular post, not the toy.

not really my thing, but more for others to enjoy.

no conspiracy dude. at least not on my part.

My comment wasn't aimed at you particularly.
Is there any reason why you might think it was?

Anyway, gentlemen, the situation is this:
After I made the 'Announcement' post I received two pm's,
both after I'd retired for the night.
The first, from Josh, to which I have replied, was extremely courteous.
Lotteries are not allowed ...
Oops! My bad!
Believe it or not, I never even thought about 'The Rules' when I made that post.
I had one toy & a list of over 40 people interested in buying it.
I still can't think of a better way to resolve that.

The second pm, from Pogue, was curt, bordering on rude, and I have no intention of replying to him unless he adopts a more civil tone with me.
Sample: "Your thread is gone!"
Um, whose thread?
I believe mondocoyote was the OP.
Has anyone bothered contacting him?

And why delete the whole thread?
Wouldn't it have sufficed to delete my post,
and possibly those that followed it,
with a polite explanation as to why?
All seems a bit heavy-handed to me.

Wow honestly this figure and it's spawning threads has received enough hype than it needs. Up until now I have zero info on the makers or sources except for pictures with chicks scoring these. 'Nag Nag Nag' pun is certainly true to it's word in annoying the heck out of everyone. I'll be standing on the sidelines chillin while watching around 40 of you fight over this.

Who would have thought Alice would have such a knack for promotions? Not me.

This was my pm to you:

"No lottery sales! Your toys thread is gone. I am on vacation until thursday so I might not get back to you until then.

If you want to sell a toy on SB list a price in the BST and sell it.

glenn"

I typed this on my phone while on vacation. In the words of another member: "Tuck in your wings and man up lady bug." You are being overly sensitive which makes me a little paranoid.
