 Corrupted Metal Brain
Well, I figured my set of good guy Brains would need someone to fight, so I finished their first enemy: The Corrupted Metal Brain.
Thanks go to Plover for giving me some helpful advice with metal leafing.

Actually, it wasn't too bad... the leafing is pretty durable stuff. It was a chore though... this thing took the better part of the weekend to get it looking right. The hard part is deciding when it's "finished"...

Loco, I really like this one! the dark accents in the recessed parts really give it that old bronze sculpture look...very nice work!

Very cool.
One would never guess that it had the light weight of a vinyl piece.

A cape would make it look like some kind of Lord of the Rings shit.

Well, I'm already loosly basing my customs on Microman/Acroyear pieces, I thought I'd see what it looked like similar to this BxH version:

Do it up then. I guess you could always remove it if it doesn't look right.

Pass on the cape, but what if you filled the innards with something heavy to give it weight and more of the illusion of solid metal?

I think that would be very cool.
There's be an element of illusion or surprise when one picked it up.
Assuming you let others touch or handle your figures.

Actually, this one was a black/white/red hard brain - the one that came with the plushie brain. I didn't think the foil would work well on a squishie brain, and I need the clear brains for my yellow and pink sentai brains.
ps. I still need more clear brains.

I was wondering when your supply might run out! You'll have to put in a "Hands Off!" request for anything that comes up on YJA.
