I grew up in a very rural area of Oahu called Nanakuli, where I would surf daily at a spot known as "Tracks," which was right across the street from a power plant. The water there was super warm and murky and loaded with sharks. I remember feeling relatively oblivious when I once pointed out a hammerhead to my uncle while we were sitting upright on our boards- feet dangling in the water. He promptly told me not to worry as they are "the nice ones."

Possibly the most tasteless Photoshopped fake ever. This thing spread like wildfire for about a week in late 2001. The e-mail lie said that it was taken by tourists atop the WTC just before the first plane hit ... the camera was found in the rubble, blah blah blah. At the time, many people believed the hoax. In retrospect, it's just so obviously faked.

Perhaps the dude wearing a parka in early Sept would have given it away.

From about ten minutes in Poser and another ten in Vue on my computer this morning. Several years ago someone in Hong Kong made a series of relatively crude Ultraman hero and foe models for Poser, an entry level 3D app. Some of those models are still floating around at a couple of decaying websites. Just wanted to throw a kaiju-related angle at this thread.
