 Re: Nike Air Zoom Kaiju
Ugh. Not a fan of this. For some reason I've always been more of a small-market supporter when it comes to snowboarding. For me Burton was the Nike of snowboarding. But now Nike is the Nike of snowboarding? Now I guess I can buy Burton... But besides, those boots are fugly! I don't want "street style" when I'm snowboarding. With that said I recently bought some Nike Air Pegasus and they're the most comfortable shoes ever. The comfort/fit of boots is probably the most important thing to get right - so if these were better/more comfortable that all other boots I would have to consider them. But I'd never buy a Nike board no matter the bells and whistles.

 Re: Nike Air Zoom Kaiju
They're not very Kaiju, are they. Just look like a pair of black and blue snowboarding boots to me. Could of at least payed for a Godzilla licence and stuck him on the tongue or something. I'll start calling all my Nike kick's Kaiju from now on, because mine are about as Kaiju as those.

 Re: Nike Air Zoom Kaiju
Hey Nat. The funny thing is that Nike is like the Borg. Resistance is futile I believe Nike also owns Burton if I'm not mistaken. Seriously, I've been hearing a lot of amazing things about their snowboard boots. A lot of cynics but they're the ones who never tried them out. They spent tons of r&d with the best riders to fine tune these boots to be the best. I love the style aspect brought to the mountain as well. This is also what they've done with the SB line. They don't make skateboards and I don't think they will make boards but who knows. ---NT--- wrote: Ugh. Not a fan of this. Re: Nike Air Zoom Kaiju
Yeah, I'm not a Nike hater or anything - I actually really respect them. They do amazing things, and not necessarily with shoes/apparel. I'd love to work for them...if they weren't in Beaverton. I'm not overly fond of their gear, but it's mostly because so much of it is ugly. There's some good looking stuff too, but it's few and far between. But like I said, I LOVE my Air Pegasus. When it comes to snowboarding though, it's just not my thing. Snowboarding was my passion, and I just couldn't buy boards/boots/bindings from a company that didn't start out making boards/boots/bindings. And on Burton - I've been intrigued by some of their boards but I hate that they refused the industry standard inserts and created their own. It was just a tactic to make people buy their bindings. And their insert pattern sucks.
