I like the sculpt but IMHO there have been to many versions put out to fast on these. With the Copper hand painted that makes four that will or have been released in less then a month? That's ridiculous! At least the 13th Bees were nce a month, and god knows when the last time a decent Mad Mantis was released.

True. I'd like to see some transparent ones with colour or innards.

I like the handpainted one best of all, with that sdcc version coming in a close second...the black/white one loses a lot of detail due to the coloring, imo..
A clear yellow version with a glowing parrot insert in the head or chest would be cool...actually, anything glowing on this guy would be sweet! (sweeter still if I could score one!)

Yeah I know what you mean Shifta - there are TWO that are to be released at SDCC (I ain't there), one Rainy Day at SB in Japan and the Fan Club that Fresh is trying to rake someone over the coals to buy. Four released (or to be released) in the last month!!!
C'mon!

There doesn't seem any real rhime or reason to some of the releases either. Sort of a mystery on where and how they are surfaceing. That's all cool and all, but I can see you completist guys having a heart attack each time a colourway is rumoured!! I imagine I will pick one up at somepoint. The colours make this guy look better ech new one that comes out.
Hope it's raining when I'm in Tokyo in a month!!

I have to say the shear amount of goods being offered up at SDCC has me a little pissed. I know it is a big show but come on! Throw a f-ing bone to those of us who can't make it but are still RFSO collectors. Instead some of this stuff is going to go to aholes who just happen to wander by...
Can you tell I'm jealous? I not ashamed to admit it. LOL.

It's a fair call Bigstar. I think the whole SDCC exclusives is a little over blown. So many, and a lot seem to be just for the sake of it. I'm not so much jealous, but definitely see where your coming from.
Not sure you can call one off hand painted gear exclusives either. I mean, if it's a one off it's pretty well exclusive where ever it's offered up.

Yeah you're right. The one-offs are definitely a perk of SDCC and I don't begrudge them getting some exclusives otherwise what the point in going. I just wish one or two, like the Frankenghost, would have come our way.
But you know what I mean. I'm just trying to not come off sounding too petty...
I hope you snag a pirate when you're in Japan, it just sucks that you have to wish for rain on vacation!

Well I guess I am not the only one waiting on these to show up. I thought about doing the SDCC this year, but it all added up to EXPENSIVE. I just could not justify spending the amount of money it would have cost me. Besides that I would be spending myself into poverty once I had reached SDCC. I guess i'll save doe this way and maybe have a small splurge on a nice figure if one shows up. I wonder what an SDCC trip averages with expenses and TOYS ?
I do wish there had been something offered for those who can't justify the expenditure though.

Just to say, and I'm NOT trying to bragg.
This whole Pushead SDCC offering from the S7 crew kicked MAJOR ass.
Hats off to them for the way it was put together.
The Pirate is a great toy, I think this exclusive has to be the best version there will ever be. I even got the oppertunity to secure a Glow KawsXPus companion for a VERY VERY descent price. never thought that would happen.
It was for the true fans, spat on the flippers, and it was seriously very very fun.
Made the toys even ever so more awesome to get. I wish everyone could have made it that wanted to.
